What’s the difference between your weekday and weekend style? Do you have to wear a uniform or a suit or are you super casual all the time?
Workwear style for me is fairly similar to my day to day style but I do try to wear trousers, boots, shirts and other ‘smarter’ items during the week. Weekends can often mean sweatshirts, leggings and general gym kit and my favourite Vans t-shirts. But, sometimes when I’ve got a little something something going on (usually brunch or lunch let’s not lie) it can be nice to make some more effort on the weekend with style.
Obviously you guys know that I love denim, check out some more photos from this shoot and my denim evolution story in this post! So, usually denim is the starter point for my weekend style but sometimes it’s nice to add a little something fancy like a shirt to weekend outfits. This GANT shirt popped into my life recently and I’m loving wearing it.
I’ve paired it here with my classic white high top Converse, Zara mom jeans, similar here from ASOS, my faithful khaki jacket from Primark and this vintage leather bag. This ASOS babe is quite similar if you like the vintage style.
I’m loving wearing shirts at the moment, they just make me feel a little bit smarter and a bit more in the work mindset! What’s your go-to style for work? I’m 90% in trainers for work, which works for me but I do like wearing heels from time to time. Shirts are basically my equivalent of a pair of heels at the moment, they instantly make me feel smarter and more in the game!
The quality of this GANT shirt is lovely, it irons so easily (great for me because I’m crap at ironing!) and doesn’t crease very much during the day. It’s super soft and washes amazingly too. Also it’s perfect for casual outfits and I think it’ll be amazing in the summer with some denim shorts! Are you a fan of shirts?
