Spring is nearly rolling around and our fluffy blankets are being put back into storage! As soon as it gets above 10 degrees I feel like I need a little home update to bring it into the new season. Some people might think it’s silly to think about styling your home for the new season but I think it definitely makes a difference. You don’t want thick blankets and overpowering cinnamon candles when we’re heading into April, do ya? Definitely not!
Here are 9 cute lil’ home updates that are all coming in under a tenner for a spring clean without cleanin’ out your bank account.
Mugs are such an easy way to inject colour into your life, whether it’s having a cup of tea in bed in the morning out of a cute mug or lining them up on the side in the kitchen – mugs maketh the home! These Oliver Bonas Ocha Mug come in mint, pink and yellow and are so cute. Unfortunately not under £10 for all three but they’re lovely nonetheless. For similar stoneware mugs like these try Matalan, IKEA and Wilko! Sticking with the kitchen, these incredible pineapple print cereal bowls are definitely going to make those morning Weetabix more interesting because they’re damn cute. Plus, these are £8 for the set so they’re an absolute bargain. They’re from George at Asda and they have such amazing stuff for incredible prices. I also found this seriously cute pom pom cushion on my hunt for these goodies in this post. How lovely is this? I think it looks so much more expensive than it is, too!
Well, I couldn’t resist this Urban Outfitters cute sloth mug because just look at ’em dancing, chilling, sleeping – too sweet.
Onto the copper trend that is still hanging around and I am still loving! These copper laquer balti dishes are seriously cute and they’ll make homemade and takeaway curries even more gorgeous. They’re also great for keeping food warmer for longer which is essential for me because I am a food-heat weirdo. (Like, I microwave my food before I eat it even if it’s just come out of the oven – weirdo.) Another George at Asda gem is this sweet little copper and blue geometric cushion – perfect on cream and grey sofas!
New Look is a surprising gem for homeware shopping now that they’ve brought out their lifestyle range. Most things are under £10 anyway and I am loving this pink marble swirl candle – I think it looks like it could be £25 from Anthropologie, don’t you? Another Oliver Bonas babe is this ridiculous Llama trinket dish which is actually in the sale for £2.50. Two actual pounds and fifty pence. I mean, just buy it. Finally, along the copper lines still is this Tesco small copper basket which is idea for storing belts or sunglasses or even rolled up flannels in a bathroom. Love a bit of cute storage! What do you think of these picks? What’s your homeware style?
