This week’s foodie blog post is my first collaboration with Street Food Club in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre. I moonlighted on their Instagram and their Insta story this week and they kindly gifted Luke and I this dinner and some lovely drinks. As you know, I only work with brands on a paid or gifted basis if I either already love the brand or I know I’ll be into it. Now, I’ve featured Notts Street Food Club a few times on my blog, most recently in my 3 Date Night Eats that I absolute love in Notts and they’re a constant feature in my weekly lunch and dinner schedule as well as on my Instagram stories. So, you can guarantee that I’m only working with Notts Street Food Club because I 100% believe in the food the sellers serve and the concept. Disclaimer over, let’s talk chicken.

Notts Street Food Club is the perfect place to chill and catch up with a friend, head before the cinema or crazy golf or just for a shopping pit stop when you just NEED some fried chicken in your life.
There are usually 4 street food vendors at the club, two of the most popular and almost always there are Homeboys and Smoqued Taqueria. These are my two favourites but I also love Hunger Foods for lunch time as they’re a little bit healthier and there’s sometimes an awesome toastie seller or Taste of Korea, a street food truck that’s already infamous in Nottingham. When we popped down this time we went for the Mexican-style taco kings that are Smoqued. Seriously these guys know how to season meat, it is ridiculously good.

One of my favourite dishes is the Buttermilk Chicken Box which is fried chicken goujons, fries, citrus slaw, pickled pink onions, sour cream, you name it, if it’s good on Mexican food – it’s on this bad boy. We also tried their absolutely amazing pulled pork tacos that were incredible. I think it was slow-cooked for 18 hours and it was super soft and delicious. We topped everything off with their loaded fries because obviously we weren’t being greedy enough and it was the perfect amount for a Friday night dinner for two. Check Smoqued Taqueria on Instagram if you fancy some food porn for your evening.

Notts Street Food Club have an amazing makeover every season and it’s super springy and floral at the moment and it’s super cute. The vibe is so cool, they have a bar with a range of drinks, happy hours and draught beers as well as guest drinks sellers like an alcoholic tea bar this week! You can either drop in or book tables in this hidden gem at the top of Victoria Centre.
Have you been to Notts Street Food Club? Do you love it? (Last sentence obviously said in a Jonathan from Queer Eye voice.)Eat Global. Dine Local. Every Weekend. Peace!
