Organic Overnight Chocolate Protein Oats

I’ve been a regular protein powder user for about 3 years now since getting into fitness in a more serious way and having the protein expertise of my other half to learn from. I’ve tried a lot of different brands and I now know some of my favourites and what flavours I like. But, it did occur to me, whilst on my 8 week clean eating challenge, that my protein powder may not actually be as clean as the rest of my diet. That’s when I discovered Whey Ahead, this organic protein powder! This stuff isn’t as sweet as your standard protein powder and is the UK’s first range of certified organic flavoured & unflavoured protein. Powered purely by organic protein from grass-fed cows and raw superfoods, this stuff’s pretty good.

It comes in three variations, vanilla, unflavoured and chocolate – obviously the one I was most excited about. I’ve been wanting to try out a chocolate overnight oats recipe for a while and Whey Ahead was the perfect addition. I only used half my sample tub as I want to try the rest in a shake and really get the flavour from it.

Chocolate Overnight Oats

For two portions, you will need;
35g of ordinary porridge oats
10g chia seeds
5g organic cacao powder
5g organic cacao nibs
1 small mashed banana
100ml soy milk (or any other milk you fancy!)
15g Whey Ahead Peruvian Chocolate protein powder.

All of the ingredients can be altered if you want less oats, more chia seeds etc. Mash your banana and then add in your dry ingredients, pour in your milk, mix it all up and let set overnight in the fridge. Either eat cold or warm up in a small pan over a low heat with a splash of milk to thin it out. Add toppings and enjoy!
