Time For A #BuildUpBagel?

You’ve heard of Joe Wicks, right? The Body Coach, the guy who’s got everyone calling broccoli ‘midget trees’ and eating nutritious and delicious food which takes next to no time to prepare. Well, he’s also teamed up with the New York Bakery Co to perfect his post-workout necessity that is the #BuildUpBagel. I’m a massive bagel fan so anything that gives me an excuse to create more tasty recipes using them, I’m in!

Of course, I probably couldn’t eat a bagel every day and I see them as a bit of a treat but we usually like to have a big brunch on Saturday after we’ve trained in the morning and a bagel is perfect for this. I’ve created two Build Up Bagels in this post using the amazing kit that New York Bakery Co provided me with, by the way, everyone needs a bagel knife in their life – this thing is a game changer. Ever thought how difficult it was to spread anything on a bagel with a normal knife? Me too, every time. This little bagel knife is specially curved to deal with that problem – clever!

The bagel that I created, post workout, was a home-made meatball bagel which is basically a take on a meatball sub. These meatballs are so tasty and they were amazing on a sesame bagel. I also love a classic egg and bacon on a plain bagel!

I really want to try the Mexican Scram-Bagel from Joe’s #BuildUpBagel Planner which is a tasty mix of scrambled eggs, spinach, feta, spring onion and chilli. This is surely a Mexican dream of a brunch. What’s your favourite #BuildUpBagel recipe?
