The Body Shop Drops Of Youth

For the past month or so I’ve been trialling the Drops Of Youth Range from The Body Shop in conjunction with trying to eat healthier specifically for my skin. Of course, there’s been some wobbles with my birthday and a few other celebrations but I’ve tried to be good. Here are my thoughts about the range, spoiler, I’ve been loving a few of them a lot!

In addition to my usual face washing routine, in the morning I’ve been using the Drops Of Youth Concentrate and Eye Concentrate before I moisturise. The main serum concentrate feels quite sticky but it settles into the skin really well and left my skin really soft. I enjoyed having a few extra steps in my morning routine as usually I would just be a wash face and moisturise first thing. The eye concentrate was really wet and it was difficult to get the right amount of product out as the packaging has a pump action, it’s too easy to get too much out and then takes a while to settle into the skin. I think it would have been nice to add a night eye cream into this range too!

Next up, the Bouncy Sleeping Mask is really nice, you wake up feeling super plumped up and full of hydration! It also smells lovely and sinks in really quickly so you don’t have to worry about getting product on your pillows. Lastly, the Wonderblur product, a lightweight blurring cream that smoothes out skin-tone and appearance is a mixed bag. This is definitely a product to use sparingly, I find that if I apply too much it starts to roll together and whilst make-up looks great once applied after a couple of hours it can look patchy and can sink into pores which is the opposite of what this product is supposed to do. When I’ve used the exact right amount I have found that it was actually a really great primer but it’s difficult to judge how much to apply unfortunately.

I really like the packaging of these products, the green is really refreshing but it’s not fully functional. I feel like the mask would be better in a tube and I’m not keen on the pump action of the eye concentrate or the serum as they either seem to block up or it’s too hard to get the right amount of product. My favourites would have to be the mask and the Wonderblur! Have you tried anything from The Body Shop’s Drops of Youth range?
