A Clarins Summer Skincare Update

The hot weather and summer time usually always means switching up your skincare and beauty routine. It definitely does for me anyway, it’s time for less makeup, mattifying skincare and a lot of moisturisation without feeling weighed down and greasy.

I’ve been trying some exciting Clarins products recently and wanted to share what I thought about them. First up, I’ve recently finished a face scrub so the One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is a welcome addition to my regime. This is a physical exfoliator which is a subtle amount of ‘scrubby’, it’s not too harsh, smells really good and is a great every-other-day cleanser. My skin feels super fresh after using this and it’s great for removing dead skin cells and a build up of sweat, suncream and other summer gunk build up!

The next skincare product that I really enjoy using is the HydraQuench Cream, it actually leaves my skin quite matte once it’s sank in which is a great base for primer and then base. I didn’t realise that this would be so mattifying, it’s really surprised me. I have combination skin so this is perfect for me in the summer time.

Next up is the Baume Corps Super Hydrant body lotion. This moisturiser is a great everyday addition to my body care routine, it sinks in so easily and is never sticky or feels heavy so it’s a surefire favourite from this selection. Finally, the Comfort Lip Oil is the perfect moisturising lip gloss. Who knew that a gloss could actually be moisturising and not feel sticky and gross? Plus it’s cute and tiny.

Debenhams are currently running an awesome gift with purchase offer, you can get this little beauty lot worth £40 when you buy two Clarins products, one to be skincare. This is such a good deal for the summer time and you can take at least three of them in a carry-on if you’re a hand luggage only kinda girl like me.
