Kiss Featherlight Eyelashes

False eyelashes are something I’m wary of now, they can make you look too done up, fake and like you’ve just walked off the set of TOWIE circa 2011. But, when I heard about Kiss lashes, that are supposed to feel and look like natural lashes, I thought I’d give them a go.  These are from the Featherlight collection and I tried out ‘Iconic’ the other night when I went out in Manchester. The ‘Iconic’ versions aren’t very thick and they don’t have a thick band that looks too much next to your actual lash line. I always have to trim my lashes down so I cut nearly a cm off the long ends of them to make them fit. I was really surprised by how soft and comfortable they were, they looked really, really natural and I was able to apply a small amount of mascara to make them blend into my actual eyelashes really easily. Normally, with false lashes mascara doesn’t go on very well and ends up looking clumpy but these were really lovely. So all in all, I was really happy with these lashes and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who feels like they need something extra but they don’t want to go for the full on celebrity fake eyelashes look. They looked really soft and natural. They’re an American brand and are mostly stocked in Walmarts and that sort of thing but they are available in Boots over here priced at just under £5, which is also a bargain! photo IMG_6584_zpscf5c0e19.jpg Kiss Featherlight Lashes – £4.49* Read More

5 Day Lipstick Challenge

Recently, I’ve decided to create a little challenge for myself. A lipstick challenge of all things. I decided that I don’t wear lipstick enough, I’m definitely lazy with lippy, I’ll put it on once, if I do wear it at all, and then I won’t bother to reapply and it ends up looking a bit rubbish. So I decided I’d try and step out of my comfort zone a little bit and try and wear a nice bright lipstick (or lip product) every day for 5 days. Hence the 5 Day Lipstick Challenge. I’ll be documenting it on Instagram and I’ll do an update next week when it’s over, reviewing the lipsticks and letting you know how I got on! Read More

Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser

Screenshot 2014-05-27 10.26.01

The Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser is a new release this summer and is packed full of SPF 15 protection and long lasting moisture. This lovely product comes in 6 shades, I’ve got the second from palest, 01 Sand but it’s actually quite dark! So in hindsight, 00 Porcelain would have probably been a better fit but this one blends in fine and is perfect for the summer when I’ve got a bit more colour. Read More

Mini ASOS Beauty Haul

ASOS is always the best place to go for a little pick me up order that you need to brighten your day! I’m finding that I’m needing a few little day brighteners at the moment because of uni stresses and the new house. I got all of this for £7 because a few bits were on offer. Two of them are useful, hand wash and dry shampoo (but in funky packaging!) and a new nail varnish always brightens up your little pinkies. I’ve not tried any Models Own polishes before this one and I’m liking it so far. The colour is fab and so summery and the formula is nice and dried quickly. I didn’t apply a top coat though so I had a few chips the next day, but that’s my fault isn’t it! The hand wash smells lovely and I might just keep the bottle once it’s all run out and refill it because the branding of Anatomicals is so funky! What do you do when you need to brighten up your day? Essie Millionails

This is my most recent foray into repairing my super soft nails. I really like Essie as a brand, some of my favourite nail varnishes are from them, I especially love Fifth Avenue, it’s the perfect orangey red! Anyway, I picked this up as I’d run out of base coat and this is supposed to really make your nails super strong and stop them peeling and doing all that rubbish that usually happens. Read More

L'Oreal TXT Studio Line Volume Supersize Spray

This product is one I’ve looked at for a while and wondered whether it was worth a go! Luke and I went into Boots the other day and it was 2 for £4 and he uses another product of theirs anyway at at £3.79 each I thought why not give it a go. So, the next day was hair wash day and I tried it out after I’d blow dried and straightened my hair and just gave it a little spray under some layers and it was really pouffy and texturised, worked really well. It didn’t last all day of course, I brushed my hair a few times and played with it like normal but the overall effect was really good and I’m glad I bought it! So, definitely recommend this for a little bit of bounce and texture. Read More

What's In My Spring Makeup Bag

I haven’t done one of these for a while so I thought I’d do an updated post on the contents of my makeup bag! I love reading these posts so if anyone has any then feel free to send them my way! I’ve got some old favourites in here and some fairly new additions that I’ve been loving recently. It’s also a mixture of both high street (drug store) products and some more expensive bits, they’re just what I’ve been using on the regular at the moment. If you’ve tried any of these products or love them as much as I do, leave me a comment and let me know. Read More

Clarins Colours of Brazil Collection

Clarins’ new summer makeup collection – Colours of Brazil is simply beautiful. The packaging is so pretty with the aztec pattern on top of the bronzer and the eye shadow palette it really gives it something extra. I love the fact that the eyeshadows themselves are embossed too, it gives such a lovely touch. The gem in this palette is the gorgeous peach coloured eye shadow, something that I would never have thought of wearing before! Previously I would have always avoided anything that was vaguely pink near my eyes but this in the inner corners of the eyes creates a gorgeous look. Paired with the two taupe and deep brown shadows on the left hand side in a smokey eye this looks amazing. Read More

Thierry Mugler Angel

Thierry Mugler – Alien is a really familiar scent to me as my best friend wears it. I love it and whenever anyone walks past me wearing it, I think about her! So shout out to you, H!

Angel, is the counterpart, the first Thierry Mugler perfume and sister fragrance in the range to Alien. The bottle is beautiful and it’s such a pretty night-time scent. I think it’s best left for the evening as for me, personally, it smells quite rich. They say, that it has a ‘celestial top of bergamot and helional with a heart of fruit and honey and a passionate base of vanilla, chocolate and caramel’. Read More

Nars Satin Lip Pencil Timanfaya

I’ve been after this lip pencil for months now, I’ve wanted the perfect orangey red lipstick for so long and just couldn’t find what I wanted on the high-street which was making me frustrated! I was buying lipsticks and they just weren’t right, so I’d buy another one, telling myself I couldn’t afford the NARS one, but after all if I buy the perfect one I won’t need to buy any more, right?! Well this is the plan. Come back to me in a month when I’ve bought 3 new lipsticks… Read More
