Skincare and beauty are big loves of mine. I’ve always loved makeup and trying new products so innovative releases are super exciting to me. I’ve got 5 new releases to chat to you about today, all of which I’ve been trialling for about 2 weeks to give a good idea of what I think. Let’s get straight down to it!
Sounds epic right? In a world where there’s more pollution that ever from car fumes to other people’s cigarette smoke, everything is out to get our skin! Caudalie have released their new Vine[activ] range which is rather lovely. I’ve been testing the Glow-activating anti-wrinkle serum, the Energizing and smoothing eye cream and the 3 in 1 moisturiser from the range. They also have a gorgeous detox oil but I’ve not got around to using my sample of that yet. I’m loving the serum and moisturiser as they both feel hydrating and don’t leave my skin feeling greasy and I definitely feel like my skin’s brightened up a little since using it. It hasn’t irritated me or given me break outs or anything, I’d definitely buy the full size of both of these products.
Caudalie also have an awesome little offer running at the moment. Receive a FREE Vine[activ] Discovery Kit, worth £31, with any purchase of £50 or more*. Just use code VAKIT17.
*Set includes a 15ml 3in1 Moisturizer, 10ml Glow Activating Serum, 5ml Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream and 1ml Overnight Detox Oil. Valid from 23/02/2017 to 30/03/2017.
Moor Cream Cleanser
This Omorovicza cleanser is the freshest feeling cleanser I’ve used for a while! This product also lends itself to the detoxing/anti-pollution trend as it feels super deep cleaning. I’d also buy this in a full size too because makes my skin feel so clean.
“Moor mud lends it a purifying and detoxifying quality while an aroma-therapeutic blend of essential oils adds an antiseptic and anti-microbial property. Zinc Oxide soothes the skin and regulates the production of sebum. A perfect urban detox solution.”
Hungarian Moor mud is one of Omorovicza’s most unique and effective ingredients. The Calcium and Magnesium-rich Moor mud has proven to have skin perfecting qualities now used across a number of products within the range.
“This wash-off cleanser is as exciting as I had hoped, providing the deep cleansing feel of a mud product without any dryness or tightness, in a gentle and creamy formula that feels indulgent on the skin, as do all Omorovicza cleansers.” – Beauty Geek
Enter the Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals! The innovative formula is a world-first self-tanning bronzer, apparently and this sounds pretty good to me. I don’t think it works when you’re already wearing makeup though as I’ve been applying this as I have my normal bronzer, over foundation and I’ve not seen a change in my tanning! But, I absolutely love the bronzer itself. It’s an amazing product, goes on so silkily, has an amazing colour and I love the loose powder/kabuki brush combination. I don’t think I’ve used a loose powder bronzer and I think I’m a convert.
This bronzer is “oil-free with micronised crystals for sheer, lightweight bronzing coverage and added DHA for a lasting tan result, this unique bronzing powder will leave you with soft, smooth, healthy-looking skin.” I agree!
The Lash Extending Mascara
Say hey to the brand new Joan Collins Timeless Beauty ‘A Class Act Mascara’! This mascara promises longer lashes in 30 days, apparently 169% longer (how!?) and 13% thicker. I’ve been using it for about two weeks and I’m not convinced at all that they’ve lengthened but it’s definitely a lovely day to day mascara which thickens really well. Not sure if I’d buy it as I’m not a mascara obsessive, I’ll usually use whatever I have a sample of if I’m honest. I’d read some more reviews of this before you buy it (if you’re tempted!) as I’m not the best reviewer here.
The Hydra-Essential Range
Finally, a third product that meant to protect your skin from the elements of the weather and pollution and this is another product range that I’ve been so impressed with. Perhaps my skin has just been waiting for this sort of product because it’s reacted so well to this range and the other two products in this post. The Clarins Hydra-Essential range includes the Hydra-Essential intensive moisture quenching bi-phase serum which is possibly my favourite serum ever. I’ve been using it morning and night and it’s incredibly hydrating. I also love the bright blue packaging, it’s fresh and really modern. The other product I’ve been trying is the moisturiser for normal to dry skin. This is lovely and thick so is best as a night cream on my skin type unless I’ve got 15 minutes for my moisturiser to sink in! I’ve suffered with dry skin from air conditioning and cold weather since about October time and it’s finally cleared up and I think it’s thanks to these bad boys. Would massively recommend!
