If you’re hosting Christmas dinner this year, like me, and you want to make sure you don’t have a melt down in the kitchen when faced with the sprouts, check out these tips!
My career journey – 25 years old
25. Nearly 26. Do I feel old? Not in my current job, I feel like one of the youngest (because I am) in the whole team but do I feel experienced? I actually do and that’s a great feeling. I thought I’d share my career journey so far because I loved reading Jess’s post here from a few months ago about her career journey since graduating and her journey to becoming a freelancer.
Living room transformation – Before & After
Ta-da! Another room in the house reno/decoration is almost perfect. Finally, our living room feels like a living room. There’s still some finishing touches to do like glossing the skirting board but that can wait when this is what we’re working with now – as opposed to grubby carpet and just a sofa as the sole piece of furniture in the room. What do you think?
How to choose prints for your home (AND WIN!)
Decorating is the most exciting part of any new home, room or season. Making your space your own is always the best and makes you feel all cosy and homely. Prints and wall art are really important to us and we love to express our personalities and interests with them. But, what’s the best way to choose the prints that you’re going to hang in your home? Here are a few tips and what we usually do…
Our Dining Room Decor – Before & After Makeover
Our dining room has had a little bit of a makeover over the past month or so, we’ve been busy! Check out the horrific white box that it was before. It definitely doesn’t help that we have a white table at the moment and the carpet was almost white. This clinical box with grubby flooring is now a pretty glam, dark and dangerous dining room that I am loving.
The chair you need to know about today
A super quick interiors based post this weekend, babes. Can we just talk about this gorgeous chair in the main image? These Oyster chairs are less than £80 and they’re from Sue Ryder online. I’m getting straight to the point. Yep, the charity shop. These guys are upping their game and ‘charity’ is not the first thing that comes to mind when I think Sue Ryder. I walk past the Nottingham branch every day, twice a day, on my way to and from work and seriously, it has some awesome window styling and their stock is always on point.

5 clever flooring tricks to make rooms feel bigger
When it comes to home décor, flooring matters, it takes up a significant percentage of the surface area of any room, obviously! Everyone always notices the floor, even if they’re not aware of the fact that they do.
The floor you choose really sets the tone. It can also have a huge impact on how spacious a room feels. If you are decorating and want to make it feel larger, here are a few tricks!
We bought a house!
Someone thought it was totally OK to give us a mortgage (here’s looking at you Natwest, no going back now) – so we bought a house! Hence why things have been a little thin on the ground and sporadic over the past few weeks – it gets a bit stressful, dunnit?
Now we’re in thanks to the in-laws of dreams and a lot of hard work and there’s not a cardboard box in sight after two and a half days of unpacking and sorting out. There’s something to be done in every room and it’s going to be at least a year, if not longer until everything is exactly how we want it to be, let’s not talk about the kitchen, but we’ll get there. So, here’s introducing a new section of proper interiors onto the blog. I’ve always loved interiors but living in rented flats and houses really limits you to basically changing your sheets and hanging a few prints if you’re handy with the Polyfilla so I’m really looking forward to finally being able to decorate like a grown up.
