Moving into a new house (a blog post in the making FYI) is a really exciting time and as well as the excitement of a new location and a bigger space comes the joy of decorating. We’re moving (hopefully – I don’t want to jinx it as the house buying process can be so turbulent!) into a new build so we have hardly any building work and renovations to do so it’s all about interior design.
June Money Diary
An end of pay-month and before payday diary this time around. We’re still in semi-lockdown at this point but we’re allowed to see people in their gardens which is lovely as the weather this week is crazy warm from Monday onwards. Let’s get to the spending…
Thursday
Get up, it’s raining (warm weather hasn’t kicked in yet!) but I still have a walk and listen to At Home With Lily & Anna, really glad they’re back doing a podcast! Grab a coffee when I’m back in bed and see an eBay seller for an item I’m watching has knocked a fiver off a dress and sent me an offer so I accept! £10 for a New Look black slip dress which is v similar to an All Saints one I’ve been drooling over which is in their sale for around £60. I like to buy cheaper versions of clothes if I’m not sure how often I’ll wear them and then if I know I’m wearing it a tonne even though it’s high street I’ll look for a higher end or better quality version.

Why I’m loving screen-less activities
As much as I’m a huge TV and film fan – and I am – watching telly has to be up there with my most loved activities, screen time started to take over a little bit when phones come into play too. Whilst taking an Instagram break where I actually deleted the app off my phone – I know, big news, I decided to focus on a little chilling out and tried to pick up a new skill and practice a bit of self-care by leaving screens behind.

3 Wonderful Wedding Gifts Ideas
We all want to give the perfect wedding gift to the ones we love, but sometimes finding one can be a stressful task. So, your friend or loved one is getting married, yay! You’ve probably thought about a million things but choosing a gift is often left to the last minute.
Why is this? Well, buying a wedding gift can be a difficult task. You first have to make sure the couple wants gifts. Some people don’t these days. That can take time, and if they do then you have to think of something original to get for them. You don’t want to get them the same old thing everyone else is getting. Let’s not forget, it feels good too, when someone loves the gift idea we’ve chosen for them.
How I plan store cupboard meals
Meal planning is something that you either love or hate and for me it depends how I’m feeling. If I’ve got a new recipe book or something in mind that I’m dying to make, I love it! But, when I’m feeling a bit uninspired it can feel like a drag. We switch between meal prep boxes such as Hello Fresh and Gousto and weekly meal plans of our own ideas or classic meals we’ve been making for years. I’ve linked some of my favourite Gousto recipes in my lockdown fun blog post.

A wedding planning update
We’re 174 days away from our wedding which really doesn’t seem that long! With this in mind, I wanted to do a little personal wedding planning update as well as some of the tips and hints posts that I’ve been sharing just in case anyone is interested.
This is our day and we’re doing things our way so just bear that in mind that just because this is how we want our day to be this doesn’t mean that I’m judging however you want to do you day and I’d expect the same in return. I don’t know why weddings can make people so touchy so I just wanted to put those positive vibes out there to the universe. Your day, your way!
4 ways to make your wedding day memorable
When you’re planning your wedding day, you have this idea in your mind that it will be a day you’ll never forget for all the right reasons and here are four ways to really make that happen.
1. Start your planning well in advance
Time runs away from you, days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months! Where possible, get as much done as you can before the event gets underway. Plan as much as you can as soon as you can and make yourself a list of things to do each month.
