The Perfect Nude Pair: MAC & Marks & Spencers

I thought it wasn’t possible, for my love for my new baby, MAC Amplified Creme in Blankety to be stronger than it is already. Then, I decided I needed a new gloss because you can’t wear lipstick everyday can you? Sometimes you need a little sumthin-sumthin without going all out on a lippy you’ll need to retouch, and I can’t cope without a mirror when I have to touch anything up.
So I popped into Marks & Spencer because I’ve heard their lip glosses are lovely and at only £5 you can’t really go wrong. From the Limited Collection I picked up the shade Nude, I was tempted by Raspberry & Apricot but I wanted something to go with Blankety. I love the packaging, I think it’s really pretty and the colour is lovely, a perfect match. It has tiny bits of shimmer in it but doesn’t look like an awful chunky glittery lip gloss I might have worn circa 2005 or something. It’s not sticky in the slightest which is an obvious plus, we don’t want hair sticking to lip gloss nightmares.

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick – Blankety

I have been a rubbish beauty blogger, I haven’t ever had a MAC lipstick. This is my first ever one and I love it. I’m not a massive lipstick wearer, but I wanted to try and make an effort and wear a more everyday lipstick to try and polish up my look a little bit. I was looking at Freckletone, which is a gorgeous nude but it didn’t stand out on my lips enough as they’re quite pink already. I wanted something with a bit more coverage and pigment and so went for this Amplified Creme beauty in Blankety. I have a post coming up with me wearing this with a cheeky little complimentary gloss!

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Eau de Toilette

I’m definitely a closet Nicki Minaj fan. There, I’ve said it. I pretty much love her. She’s hilarious and I do really like her music, especially her early Young Money stuff when she wasn’t all over David Guetta. Anyway, I’m not on the other hand, usually a fan of celeb fragrances, they either all smell the same, I’m looking at you Britney, or are just made because they know it’ll sell ridiculously fast – hi, One Direction.

Hair: Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo Review

Image

Another hair post this week! Dry shampoo is one of my staple hair styling products, but this one has disappointed me! I hate to say this because I do like Batiste hair products normally, I’ve bought their normal dry shampoo for years but this one, I think because of the XXLness of this product it makes your hair feel really thick and sticky and horrible! I mean, I’m going to use it up because I’ve bought it but I won’t be buying this one again. I’ll buy the normal dry shampoo again but this one was horrible! It didn’t make my hair feel fresh at all, just sticky and full of residue. Not the idea of a dry shampoo at all! The only nice thing about this is the smell, it does smell lovely.

Hair: L'Oreal Preference High Shine Elixir Colourant

At the moment, and for the foreseeable future, I am brunette. I have been for a few years now and I think dark is definitely my friend. I’ve been probably every hair colour under the sun and I like being dark. I’m not loyal, however, to any hair dye. I’m naturally brunette, but a much lighter version than I dye it. This was my latest encounter into hair dye. L’Oreal Preference High Shine Elixir.

Vichy Dermablend Review

This is my favourite, favourite, ever foundation. I’ve always had issues with foundation because I have super oily skin. I totally didn’t even realise I did until I was probably about 18-19, FYI not that long ago and I started buying matte foundations, more powder and oil free moisturiser etc.  I’m also really blemish prone and obviously, I hate it!

Stila Waterproof Brow Pen Review

ImageImageImage

I was watching some videos from Escentual.com with Binky from Made in Chelsea & Daniel Sandler and he used this on her brows and said that it was waterproof. This really interested me because I’ve been using the MUA Cosmetics Brow Palette with a little Topshop angled brush. I love it when it goes on, it’s easy to use and I like to mix the two colours and it matches my eyebrows perfectly. BUT, when I look in the mirror like an hour later, I HAVE NO EYEBROWS. That annoys me so much. I feel like, if I don’t have my fringe down obv, I need my eyebrows to frame my face.
