I’ve always loved getting my nails did, and now I’ve started getting them done on the regular, I’ve built up a little bit of a little black book of awesome nail art Instagram accounts and I thought I’d share them!
1. Tropical Popical – This Dublin based salon is so dreamy! If you’re after anything pastel, summery and fresh this is it.
Festivities are over and it’s now the time that we see all of the Spring/Summer trends coming into the shops and it’s really exciting! Although it’s still cold, we’ve got the hope of it only getting warmer now, right? I hope so and this little parcel of Clarins goodies are definitely making me feel like it’s nearly Springtime. Enter, their new Garden Escape Collection. The collection has six pieces, an eyeshadow palette, a gorgeous green eye-liner pencil, the blush below and three lip products. I’m trialling the Blush Prodige in Sweet Rose and two of the Insight Light Lip Balm Perfector.
This little lady had been on my radar for a while since I discovered her awesome Instagram account – Lady Bee’s Nails is ran by a gal called Brittany and she is definitely Nottingham’s answer to WAH nails! She’s at Code Hair & Beauty Salon on Trinity Walk in Nottingham on Friday & Saturdays. At the weekend I’d had enough of chipped nasty nails that are ruined after you just trying and get something out of your handbag! Even the toughest top coat won’t keep my nails looking nice so I decided that I’d treat myself to having my nails done again with a little Christmas money that had been burning a hole in my pocket. If there’s one thing I know about it’s dry shampoo. I use it every day, whether it’s to freshen up second day hair or to give my just washed hair a texture boost – literally every day. It’s my go-to, holy grail, couldn’t live without hair product and I’ve tried nearly every brand on the market! This in mind, I thought I’d run down three of the latest that I’ve finished up and tell you what I thought of them!

I’d definitely recommend this cheeky little device if you want to seriously ramp up your skin care. I was a plain old flannel girl, or every once in a while a Liz Earle muslin cloth if I was feeling fancy but now I’m a convert to the Foreo ways.
Welcome to the prettiest cheek product to ever grace your makeup bag – Revlon’s Bronze Glow Highlighting Palette. I mean just look at those colours. You can swirl them all together and apply as a bronzer or just swish your brush across the top two shades for true highlighting potential! This is perfect for the summer as a flash of colour or for the winter party season as an amazing highlighter and bronzer.
Burgundies, deep reds and raspberry hues are the only lip colours that we seem to be rocking in these chilly months (well apart from Kylie Jenner, but I bet you couldn’t get her to not wear nude lipstick if her life depended on it!) But, i’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m not a lipstick gal. I mean, I like it and I wear it from time to time but if I was given the choice between liquid eyeliner and a bold lip I’d go eyeliner every single time. Nonetheless, I decided it was probably time to inject some colour into my face every now and again as it’s not so easy to do with clothes this time of year! Let me present to you, my top three lip colours for autumn (hint, they’re all super easy to apply and low maintenance, hence why they’re my favourite!)
I feel like I haven’t written an empties post in forever! It takes me a while to finish up most things because I normally have a few of the same type of product on the go at the same time. I’ve got loads in this post but I’m only going to talk about six things in it that I’d buy again to keep it short and sweet! First up is the Clarins Eau Des Jardins Body Moisturiser which is dreamy and smells awesome and is really moisturising. The scent lasts literally all day too! Next up is Avene’s Cleanance Cleansing Water – I grabbed another sample size of this for my holiday and I love it so I’ll definitely be getting a full size one when I need a new cleanser.
I’ve been interested in these Press-On Manicure nails for a while, as they’re already painted and super easy to apply. Check them out at Boots here. The ‘Rock It’ colour way I’ve linked are a simple French manicure. The ones I’ve reviewed are a shiny nude and a dark purple. I tried out the nude colour and I didn’t really like them, the colour was a bit flat for a start. I also wasn’t really impressed with the application as the backing strips were really difficult to pull off (especially if you’ve done one hand and you’ve got false nails trying to grab onto something!). I might use the dark ones if I’m having a nail emergency and need a super quick fix as they were quite speedy to apply once you get over pulling off the backing. Another good thing was the fact that they were thin and didn’t look as chunky as normal false nails.
I love this time of year when all of the seasonal make-up collections start to come out and everyone gets excited for those big festive parties! Today, I have the beautiful new Clarins eye shadow palette to share with you guys. All of these shadows are made from minerals and are totally free of nasty-ness, meaning they’re suitable for sensitive skin and eyes.
