Our Timeless Home Style with Furniture That Lasts #OriginalDesign

If you read my blog or follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I like fashion, I’m a little bit beauty obsessed and food is up there in the top five loves of my life. But – interiors and styling up my home is my one true love!

Ever since we bought our first ‘proper’ home just over a year ago it’s been full steam ahead to make this little Victoria terrace our dream place to live. After almost 5 years of renting and looking after other people’s magnolia or white-washed walls it was time for us to release our personality into our home life. Although I think our rooms are pretty funky –  they have their own themes as you walk through the house, I think I’ve created a basis of timeless style that can grow and develop with us as a couple and in the future, a family. Our Kitchen Makeover – Before & After

A year after moving into our house, our kitchen is ready to be seen by the internet! When we moved in we were dealing with a really dated kitchen, matching floor and cupboards in the same wood, a grotty sink I won’t even show you because it was so stained and broken tiles with painted wallpaper. Add on about a million wall plugs which didn’t need to be there and an 80s back door and we had the start of our project. Read More

Well it’s been a couple of weeks! Needed a break from blogging, I’ve still been busy on Instagram but I’ve been plotting some cute new content for the coming months and I’ve taken a bit of a summer hiatus to get my mojo back. We recently had an amazing couple of days in North Yorkshire and I wanted to share some of the fun stuff we got up to as well as the amazing place that we stayed. Read More

5 Getaways for the Adventurous

When the majority of people think about holidays, they might think about heading away on a beach holiday. That’s what we’re doing this year but we always try and chuck in some fun activities and sports along the way. Thoughts of sun, sea and sand automatically spring to mind and we all look forward to kicking back and relaxing while topping up the tan. Beach hols are the be all and end all, I love a good city break and there’s always activities to do in resorts too.  There are plenty of alternative trips out there. Check out my 3 out of the box things to do in Crete for some previous fun we’ve had! If you’re a little more adventurous and feel you’d get a little bored sitting around doing next to nothing for a week or two, here are a few ideas that you might find more appealing! Read More

Pieminister Escape Room & Pie Review

If you know me, you’ll know that I love an activity. You’ll more likely find me doing crazy golf, a bottomless brunch with bingo or more recently, escape rooms instead of on a big night out. I first did an escape room about three years ago and had no idea what to expect but since then I’ve done about 5 or 6 at a range of locations and I am such a fan. They’re so fun to do with friends and family and you really learn how to work together and you’ll definitely have a laugh – I guarantee it! I love the mix of themes and stories that you can get at different escape rooms. There are two at Pieminister, the Demon Barber and Germageddon! Read More

5 cruelty-free and vegan skincare bargains

We all know how much sustainability, vegan and cruelty free beauty has blown up over the past few years and for obviously great reasons. It’s fantastic that we can easily find products that haven’t been anywhere near a poor little bunny but it’s still shocking how many of our ‘favourite’ brands still test on animals. Thankfully there are brands and products that we can make a beeline for and know that we’re getting cruelty free products. Here are five of my favourite skincare products that are in my routine at the moment that are all awesome products in themselves but also happen to be budget-friendly, all £10 and under and all cruelty free. Let’s talk about how you could start protecting your sanity, money, and time when moving home. Read More

Where to Eat in Nottingham: The Playwright, 38.

You’ve heard of The Orange Tree, right? If you’ve ever been a student or lived in Nottingham for a while then you would have. One of the closest pubs to Nottingham Trent University, The Playwright, 38 is now the new, revamped The Orange Tree pub. Same layout, some of the same staff and same building but a lovely little update. First of all, you can’t miss this revamp from the outside – it is stunning and I love the dark blue and red against the white contrast. It looks super fresh but it’s still got the bar, toilets and garden snug area in the same places. Read More
