5 Factors to Consider When Choosing a University

It may have been 10 years since I first headed off to uni but it’s still something I think I can share a bit of wisdom on. Each year, there are thousands of students who descend on unis up and down the country. No matter what degree interests you the most, it’s super important that you pick a university and location that has everything you need. Understandably, choosing the right uni will be one of the biggest and toughest decisions you’ll make in life and here are five factors to consider beforehand. But, don’t worry – if you choose the ‘wrong’ one, it’s really not the end of the world, there’s always something you can do.  Read More

Interiors: Master Bedroom Glow Up

Our little master bedroom change up is complete! I chipped away at this for weeks during the third lockdown and it seemed to take me forever. The before is the Rightmove pic of course, as you’ll recognise our lamps, prints and the bed from our old bedroom and the right hand image is how we’re living with it now. I’m really happy so far, there’s a few tweaks and additional decorative bits to do but I’m much happier with the colour and the feel now. Read More

Gifted – How to celebrate your mum from afar this Mother’s Day with #MoonpigMoments

This post includes gifted items from Moonpig but it is not sponsored.

One thing’s for certain, we’ve all had to switch and jiggle the way we do special events and celebrations over the past year. Last Mother’s Day was just before major lockdown 1 and we managed to get out for a nice big walk (before even that became illegal) with L’s mum. My mum, on the other hand lives 160 miles away and I’ve only seen her once in the past year, which massively sucks so it’s been all about the postman delivering her each and every treat, card and birthday surprise. Lockdown 3 Money Diary

This is a funny Money Diary split over almost a month between my paydays because, well I’ve not bought much interesting stuff I don’t think and I’ve tried to not waste too much money but, I probably didn’t manage it.

Friday

Payday! But I’ve already moved a bit of money around yesterday as I got ‘paid’ for L’s half of the bills a few days previously. I decide to boost my Lifetime ISA with a bigger chunk of money than I usually do and challenge myself to have a bit lower disposable income until I next get paid. I’ll probably receive a bit of birthday money if I need any extra to get me by and also know I won’t be going out too much so I can definitely get by on £300 for this month, it’s actually a lot of money so I want to document what I spend. MyLifetime ISA is nearly full for this tax year too so I’m really proud of myself again for this – third year running! Read More
