The Ultimate Bathroom Pamper Routine

We all love a good pamper, don’t we? I can personally spend an hour in the bathroom just and making myself feel better after a long day. That’s why I thought I’d write a post on what I consider to be the ultimate bathroom pamper routine!

Pedicure
There’s no better place to sort your nails than the privacy of your bathroom. I mean, it’s a bit gross let’s face it. You don’t want members of your household to find your old toenails floating around. I make sure I do them before I get in the bath, as water softens them and can leave you with breakages. Make sure you don’t clip too much as you can become quite sore. Also, cut straight across to avoid ingrown toenails!

Epsom Bath Salts
Now before I hop in the bath, I grab my epsom bath salts. These help me to relax and release muscle tension, which I love! It’s a bit like having a massage without really having a massage. I also love Lush and Soap & Glory bath products.

Body Scrub
Nothing satisfies me more than using a rough body scrub to get rid of all of my dead skin and reveal lovely glowing skin beneath the surface. I love Soap & Glory’s Sugar Crush body scrub, as it’s a sugar scrub. It smells delicious, and reduces imperfections. While I’m waiting the 10 minutes recommended for my scrub to do its thing, there are a number of things I do. Bathshop321’s latest post on bathroom habits is quite funny – and scarily accurate for me!

Hair Removal
Now it’s time to get rid of that pesky excess hair. Why do we get lots of hair where we don’t want it, and none where we do? Can my underarm hair just start growing on my eyebrows please? That would be fabulous! However, I know it isn’t going to happen, so I just need to get rid of it. Depending on the mood I’m in, I’ll shave or use an epilator.

DIY Facial
I love a good DIY facial! After cleansing and exfoliating, I put on a face mask. You can do this before you get in the tub so you can relax with the mask on. After taking the mask off, I tone and moisturise. Doing this once a week makes a big difference to my skin, especially if I’m having a hormonal breakout!

Tanning
If I look a little pasty, I’ll do some tanning to top it all off. I either use a gradual tanner with moisturiser or an overnight tanner to wash off the next morning. Everybody looks better with a tan! What are you favourite pampering activities? Let me know in the comments!
