This winter has totally wrecked my skin. From air con to freezing temperatures and some horrendous cystic acne plus all the sugar spots that Christmas bring us! Unboxing #BootsBeautyBox: The Hair Edition
The #BootsBeautyBox is here again! This time, it’s a hair styling special and it’s a pretty exciting box.
First of all, I’m a huge Batiste fan, I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos and I always go back to them purely because the price is great for the wicked job their dry shampoo does so I was excited to try the Batiste Stylist Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray. I’m a fan of texture and volumizing powders so I was interested in this product as occasionally I find I can be a little heavy handed with the powders and things can get messy! I like this spray as it’s easier to control than powders but I don’t think it lasts as long. It definitely adds serious texture though so I might just have to pop a little more in, I’m probably being too cautious!
A Very Pink Favourites
I’ve not written a favourites post in absolutely ages so I thought I’d have a little chat about some bits and bobs I’ve been lovely recently and they’re all very pink!
For starters, there’s a couple of Soap & Glory beauties in there, the DRAMA CLEAN™ 5-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water, make-up comes off like a dream but the only thing I had to get used to is the cucumber smell, it’s not my favourite scent, so if you’re not a cucumber fan, I wouldn’t pick this up. I’m used to it now so I can apprecitate the product for how awesome it is but just a warning on the old green stuff! Next up from S&G is their Original Pink Reed Diffuser which you can grab in this awesome Perfect Scents gift set which is half price in the Boots sale! This is currently making my bedroom smell lovely, it’s their original and classic Soap & Glory scent and it’s really clean and fresh. The only thing with this is when you buy it you have to remove the safety ‘plug’ before you put the reeds in and it’s SO tough to remove. We have pliers, tweezers, tie wraps, the lot. Finally got there and it was worth it!
First Impressions of La Roche Posay Effaclar K+
I was lucky enough to pick up the La Roche-Posay Effaclar K+ Daily Moisturiser from a beauty box we received at work, occasionally we get some pretty great freebies so I nabbed this as soon as we opened the box. I love La Roche-Posay as a brand and am a big fan of their Effaclar serum so I was excited to try this moisturiser version.

My November Favourites
I’m not usually one for favourites posts because I think I’m fairly boring, I tend to stick to a lot of the same things but this month I had a few new favourite things come through my letterbox and I also popped to London and indulged my & Other Stories obsession.
First up, let’s keep on the & Other Stories track and let me introduce you to my favourite new shower gel. I love all the scents that they create, I literally don’t know how they make everything smell amazing but the Body Wash in Sirocco Sands is my current daily must-have. I also picked up the Natte Anti-Stress Sleeping Masque which is a really moisturising overnight mask and the really pretty Punk Bouquet Body Spray. Whenever I go to London in the future I’ll be raiding & Other Stories for sure!
