Here’s me making an effort to blog about one of my other massive loves. Food. Especially Mexican food. Now, I’m from the land of Mission Burrito, the kids up here don’t seem to know what that is but I have them near me at home in Bristol, Bath and Oxford, I’m not sure if they’re the only branches but that was my first exposure to burrito fast food. So, when I came back to uni in October and saw that this little baby, Barburritor, had popped up in Nottingham we all went wild.
Today’s post comes to you with a happy full tummy and without an empty purse.
Takeaway.com were kind enough to let me review their service with a very generous voucher. Now, most of the time I eat well and I really enjoy healthy food and I think I have a pretty balanced diet but we all need to have a cheat meal every now and again because otherwise we might explode! It doesn’t have to be a takeaway, it can just be something a bit naughty cooked at home but on this occasion, a very tired Sunday evening, it was definitely a Takeaway.com moment. The only conditions were that the place that I ordered from had to accept online payment and I had to make the order on a computer not a mobile device. Not huge deal-breakers really! Here’s what I thought…
The summer holidays will always mean moments of boredom for small people. It was our lovely Abby’s (our Nanny, we call her Abby as it’s short for the Spanish for grandma… long story short) birthday yesterday and she’s coming to stay tonight. We thought we’d make her a cake and it killed two birds as it kept little G occupied for an afternoon.
This is my second post in the Teapigs series, I did a Lemon & Ginger Tealoaf last month which was really yummy. You should definitely check that out.
Anyway, in this post, I enrolled some help from my gorgeous girl Rose, who consequently has just created her own blog. We made some amazing Chai & Raspberry Iced Tea. This is a pic heavy post but I love photos so sorry. (Not sorry)
So the amazing people from Teapigs got in contact via Twitter asking for bloggers that loved tea and I went for it, bombarded them with tweets until they sent me a really really really big bag of tea in so many different flavours and types.
This is the first of my Teapigs themed posts, I’ve got an iced tea recipe coming up next month which will be really exciting!
