New in beauty for April: Cult brands & classics

We can say spring is officially here now, can’t we? It’s April!

Pastel colours and wardrobe switches are on and I’ve added some beauty bits into my routine for the spring time, some new products, some have just recently come into my collection and they all look very cute and spring like together so I wanted to share. These are some essentials that I can’t live without right now – basically an old school favourites post without the typical ‘April Favourites’ title! I hope you enjoy – let me know in the comments if you’ve used any of these products and what you thought. Read More

If you’re a blogger, you’ll know one of the biggest challenge is promoting your website in as many places to as many people as possible! Social media gives us this outlet to shove our content out there to as many people as we can.

Where to Eat: Nottingham Street Food Club

This week’s foodie blog post is my first collaboration with Street Food Club in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre. I moonlighted on their Instagram and their Insta story this week and they kindly gifted Luke and I this dinner and some lovely drinks. As you know, I only work with brands on a paid or gifted basis if I either already love the brand or I know I’ll be into it. Now, I’ve featured Notts Street Food Club a few times on my blog, most recently in my 3 Date Night Eats that I absolute love in Notts and they’re a constant feature in my weekly lunch and dinner schedule as well as on my Instagram stories. So, you can guarantee that I’m only working with Notts Street Food Club because I 100% believe in the food the sellers serve and the concept. Disclaimer over, let’s talk chicken. Read More

at1.space with BumbleBizz #InternationalWomensDay

Last weekend the lovely Jess from Jess Who put on another one of her amazing Bumble events. This time it was a wellness workshop for International Women’s Day at at1.space, a relatively new yoga studio in Lenton – Notts. We had 75 minutes of warm yoga and meditation with Mumtaz, a senior instructor at at1.space which was just so energising and relaxing. Followed by some delicious avocado toast from the vegan cafe on site, this was the perfect Saturday! Read More

3 new in spring beauty finds

With weather changes, lighter days and hopefully rising temperatures, my skincare routine always switches up around March time from the heavy winter nourishment to slightly lighter moisturisers and a move from heady winter scents to fresher and floral scents when it comes to perfume. I love spring and I actually love a bit of change because it feels refreshing so I wanted to share some lovely new bits that I’ve been using and will be using into the spring season. Read More

3 Modern Living Room Decor Ideas

As you probably know, I love a bit of interior design, Pinterest and shopping for homewares. You can check out our living room before and after if you fancy taking a nose around our home. I wanted to share three of my favourite styles for a little bit of interiors inspiration in case you’re decorating or looking for some style inspiration that isn’t ‘all grey everything’. As much as I love a grey haven it’s not the style I go for in my own home. Ours is a mix of these three styles as I like to take little bits of styles that I like and mix them all together. Post-payday Money Diary

Hey all *waving emoji*, I thought it’d been a little while since I did a spending diary. I had a bout of trying not to spend anything after Christmas including no clothes and many snacks so was leading a pretty boring life but spring is upon us, the sun is shining and this money diary starts on my payday. I’m doing a week Friday to Thursday for 7 days because I thought having a weekend right after payday is probably the good makings of a Money Diary. It’ll be a fairly normal week and I can run through a few bits I do with my money too. Read More

3 Nottingham Date Night Eats

Date night food is serious business for us and I wanted to share some of my recent favourites that have filled our bellies on dates from the past few weeks in Nottingham.

1. Bar Iberico

Crispy chicken. Those two words and you know I’m talking about tapas dreamboat Bar Iberico. This place is just delicious. They do an incredible ‘rapid menu’ where you can get bread and dipping oil and two tapas for a tenner. Perfect if you want to share with someone else and have four different dishes and bread each. It doesn’t sound a lot but you’ll definitely be full, I promise! This menu is before 6pm on a Saturday I think and it’s well worth heading there early for a bargain. You can’t book so be prepared to either wait for a table or you can sit at the bar for proper Barcelona tapas vibes. Read More

The Coach House, Derby

Say hello to the beautiful Coach House B&B in Derby, a boutique bed and breakfast with 7 amazing rooms. This was a total treat for my birthday and it was an amazing stay so I had to pop up a little review about it. Literally 10 minutes from Derby city centre, around 30 minutes from Nottingham and 10 minutes from National Trust Kedleston Hall is this lovely little B&B. Read More
