Eesh. I know. 99% of the time breakouts are the devil. They’re the one thing that you do NOT want to happen. But, recently, I’ve come to a little realisation that sometimes they can be a good thing. Breakouts are basically a clear out of all the junk under your skin which is gross, but it can leave you with the glowiest of glowing skin when everything’s cleared up.
My skin is oily/combination. It’s more on the combination side as I’ve got slightly older, so I get a little bit more dryness that I used to but I think I almost, almost, know how to control my oily skin. These are some of my favourite products and some top tips on how to beat blemishes and control oil!
New in for my skincare regime is something I’ve been wanting to try for a while since I’ve had a couple of little samples knocking about. Bioderma is a brand that we all know and love for the classic micellar water, which is of course, a cult beauty staple! I’ve wanted to try a replacement for my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo and see if this one fairs on the same sort of level. I love products like this that control the oil and repair the scars at the same time. This Bioderma one is said to reveal radiant skin, so I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
The beauty blogger’s day is made when we spot that Boots 3 for 2 sign isn’t it? I always see so many tweets and Instagrams about 3 for 2 buys, I love it, we’re all so easily swayed to buy things that we’ve wanted for a while because it’s 3 for 2. Of course, it’s bargain central, and it’s beauty. It’s a no brainer, we love it. Anyway, luckily I actually needed some face wash/cleanser in this 3 for 2 haul and I also picked up a La Roche Posay product that I’ll be featuring soon and some Soap & Glory conditioner. You can’t do a Boots 3 for 2 without slipping some Soap & Glory in there, non?
Avene is a brand that I really like, I love their chic and clean packaging and I’ve been a fan of the Eau Thermale, the spring water facial spray, for a while now because it’s so refreshing. I use it over make-up and I have a mini one in my handbag for travelling and when the library just gets too much I have a little spray and it chills me out a bit.
