Nars Satin Lip Pencil Timanfaya

I’ve been after this lip pencil for months now, I’ve wanted the perfect orangey red lipstick for so long and just couldn’t find what I wanted on the high-street which was making me frustrated! I was buying lipsticks and they just weren’t right, so I’d buy another one, telling myself I couldn’t afford the NARS one, but after all if I buy the perfect one I won’t need to buy any more, right?! Well this is the plan. Come back to me in a month when I’ve bought 3 new lipsticks… Read More

Bourjois Happy Light Matte Primer Review

As we know, I’m on the hunt for the perfect primer, and this one comes pretty close! I don’t know whether it’s because I’ve changed up my skincare routine a little bit and I’m using a new moisturiser too which may suit my skin more than my old one, I’m going to feature that soon! Anyway, back to the primer, this is the Bourjois Happy Light Matte Primer, all the words in that title. They have a satin or radiance version too, but of course, I got the matte one for my oily skin. It’s £10.99 from ASOS or any high street retailer which I think is quite a good price for something that really holds my makeup in place! This really does feel mattifying on my face as soon as I put it on! Also my makeup has been lasting considerably longer, and if it does fade off a tiny bit, it’s even, and not patchy like normal! This is great, especially around my nose, where I find that I’m most oily, I don’t have the annoying residue of my foundation like I normally do. All in all, I’m really impressed and this is definitely one of my favourites this month already.  Read More

Sleek MakeUP Blush in Sahara

I picked this beautiful blusher up from Superdrug this week and had to share it with you because it’s so pretty, perfect so summer. It’s a stronger summer blush and easily lends itself to the perfect tanned, bronzed look. It may be more suited to brunettes as I can’t see this colour working very well with blonder hair just due to the intensity of it, if you’re blonde and it works for you, let me know, I might be wrong.  This is Sleek blush in ‘Sahara’ and at only £4.49 it’s a bargain. I actually picked mine up for £3.04 because of student discount and a tiny bit of Superdrug Beauty Card Points! Read More

Super Facialist by Una Brennan Tea Flower Purifying Cleansing Wash

The beauty blogger’s day is made when we spot that Boots 3 for 2 sign isn’t it? I always see so many tweets and Instagrams about 3 for 2 buys, I love it, we’re all so easily swayed to buy things that we’ve wanted for a while because it’s 3 for 2. Of course, it’s bargain central, and it’s beauty. It’s a no brainer, we love it. Anyway, luckily I actually needed some face wash/cleanser in this 3 for 2 haul and I also picked up a La Roche Posay product that I’ll be featuring soon and some Soap & Glory conditioner. You can’t do a Boots 3 for 2 without slipping some Soap & Glory in there, non? Read More

Beauty: MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Good to Be Bad

This post comes to you courtesy of a pretty amazing boyfriend. Picked all by himself, bought all by himself, I had no idea this was going to land on my desk the other night all beautifully wrapped next to my cup of tea. Such a good boy.

MAC Sheen Supreme isn’t a line that I’ve even thought about trying, I haven’t strayed away from the usual bullet shaped packaging at all but this is a little beauty. In a gorgeous deep purple/red colour, Good to Be Bad is an amazing texture, buildable to a deeper colour and is actually really nice once it’s worn off too. After worn for an hour or so, drinking, talking etc, it was still looking really good, obviously it had lost it’s shine but there was a good stain left on so it didn’t look like it had worn off too badly! A plus point, meaning that you don’t have to worry about your lipstick 24 hours a day if you wear it like some. Read More

Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polished

I’ve been dying to try this GLOW highlighter from Topshop for ages now! I took the plunge and bought one the other week on a procrastination trip to town. I went for the ‘Polished’ shade as opposed to the darker ‘Gleam’ one because I thought it was slightly prettier and would be more suited to my skin for this time of year as I’m not as tanned as I would be in the summer. This gives such a gorgeous highlight and is perfect for the tops of cheek bones and brow bones. Read More

Vichy Dermablend Review

Image
This is my favourite, favourite, ever foundation. I’ve always had issues with foundation because I have super oily skin. I totally didn’t even realise I did until I was probably about 18-19, FYI not that long ago and I started buying matte foundations, more powder and oil free moisturiser etc.  I’m also really blemish prone and obviously, I hate it!
