Lacock is one of my most favourite places ever, it’s situated a 10 minute drive away from my parent’s house and it’s so pretty that it’s been used for films such as Harry Potter and Pride & Prejudice! We went for an hour’s walk around it the other day whilst I was at home and had some tea and a little sit down. Here’s a photo diary of the visit!
Great interview with an up & coming Brit actor ready to hit the big time. Read it so you can say you knew about him before he was famous.
As you guys may or may not know I’m Fashion & Beauty for Uni2Know mag, a student magazine based in Nottingham. Recently we had a photo shoot to do for the newest issue and I was in desperate need of some models! It’s difficult to find male models around uni because people aren’t normally keen to offer themselves up for it! My solution came from having Sunday lunch with my Uncle & Auntie, Alex & Alan who happen to be the directors of Fresh Logistics, a ‘temperature controlled courier and storage company’ which is based just down the road from us in Long Eaton. Fresh logistics work mainly for the food and pharmaceutical sectors and provide specialist bespoke services to the frozen, chilled or ambient market. They’ve also just won an award last week for Operations SME at the SHD awards which is wicked! They did me a huge favour by asking a few of their lads that work for them to help us out! Here are a few of the shots from the day, shot by Neil Kates of Keeping It Neil Photography.
I haven’t done a lifestyle post for ages but I had a really lovely Sunday last weekend. Mr Friday & I had Sunday lunch at The Rose Cottage in Rufford, Nottinghamshire. Just over the road from Rufford Park in which we had a super cute little walk round the chilly grounds. Now, down to the important bit, I’m picky about my Sunday dinners because my daddy makes the, absolute ridiculously incredible roast dinners. They are literally the best, no question.
Basially, I love Fran from Made in Chelsea’s style, I think she always looks wicked. So I’ve picked a few bits that I think she’d wear, she loves a floral bold print and a fedora. Pair with a leather jacket or statement blazer and you’ve got her effortless but oh so stylish look. Tres chic.
Productivity, and getting shit done, is usually my aim for the day.
So I thought I’d share a few lil apps, that I like, that help, basically, get shit done.
Personally, to get shit done, I find that I need to take baby steps, make lists and tick things off!
This is a goal reaching app, whether it be losing weight, completing a big task or creating your dream event, Everest is a great little app that can help you along the way. “Everest exists to unlock human potential.”
I love this little tag line, so inspiring don’t you think? For my Everest, I’ve put getting my degree for my major goal, with presentations and hand in dates along the way along with little goals and achievements to get on the way.
So today, I decided to bake some gorgeous cookies using a Nigella recipe, they’re double chocolate chip and amazing! I was inspired by the lovely new bakeware that I picked up on the weekend from TKMaxx, the Mecca of all the things that you want but don’t actually need. These pretty cake tins were only £2.99 each and I couldn’t resist them.
On Wednesday night the lovely Leyla & I went to the Fashion Bloodhound Showcase at the Francis Hotel in Bath on behalf of The Image Consulting Company. I felt like I was walking into Carrie Bradshaw’s wardrobe or something, it was amazing. I tried on the most amazing Mawi cocktail ring, there’s pics below. Some of the pieces were just incredible. Seeing Halston Heritage and Alexander McQueen in real life, holding it in my hand, pretty incredible when you’re used to drooling over them in films, or online and you’re used to clutching a Topshop bag on the bus home. (Not that I take the bus, but you get the analogy)
Today was such a sunny day & I went for a walk with my girl Rose. All these photos are her own and you can see her photography tumblr here. This is a picture heavy post, but it was such a pretty day, nothing else to say!
