Spring/Summer Accessories with East Midlands Designer Outlet

My first McCarthurGlen Designer Outlet experience was at Cheshire Oaks when I got lost with my mum on the way back from somewhere when I was about 10, I think! We thought we’d found the Mecca of shopping, it was awesome. So, when East Midlands Designer Outlet invited me along for a day of shopping to check out what they had on offer as part of their Spring/Summer accessories campaign, I was excited to say the least. photo IMG_7983_zpsvxexr2mr.jpg

I was tasked to pick up two Spring/Summer accessories from one of their many brands. McCarthurGlen outlets are home to over 250 brands including All Saints, Church’s, Ted Baker, Reiss, Jaeger, Lulu Guinness, Burberry, Michael Kors, Mulberry and Nicole Farhi offering year-round savings of up to 60%. The East Midlands outlet is the smallest of them all but it has Nike, adidas, Kurt Geiger, French Connection and Calvin Klein so I was set! I picked up some amazing Nike Free FlyKnit 4.0 trainers and some burgundy Carvela by Kurt Geiger loafers as my two accessories of choice. I’m a massive shoe fiend and I just had to have the Nikes as soon as I saw them.  photo IMG_7986_zpszhqjpwqv.jpg

I also picked up some other goodies like my favourite perfume – Pink Friday by Nicki Minaj – from The Fragrance Shop, some new gym kit from Nike and some fresh Calvins! We also went a little bit crazy in the Cadbury’s shop, but how can you not? It’s discounted chocolate.

Anyway – back to the task at hand! I wore my new Carvela loafers to work on Monday with a cropped white ASOS shirt, ASOS high-waisted Ridley jeans and cosy Zara jumper. They went perfectly with my burgundy Diane Von Furstenburg bag. I also paired them with my favourite new French Connection sleeveless blazer, navy ribbed Zara jumper and a vintage scarf. I really want to pair these loafers with my Warehouse leather skirt and some tights next week – stay tuned on my Instagram for more outfits featuring these babies!

My Nike Free Runs are obviously awesome for the gym, I’ve worn them every time I’ve been since I got them! But I think they also look pretty cool as a casual daytime look with jeans. I’m wearing my French Connection ‘Tiffany Skintight’ jeans here with a Gant sweater.

Overall, I’ve loved this S/S accessories challenge with McCarthurGlen East Midlands Designer Outlet, it’s been loads of fun so a massive thank you for them for asking me to be involved. Stay tuned for more Instagram fun featuring my two new favourite accessories!
