Going out ‘out’ is a funny thing! It’s a bit of a mine field for casual gals like me and it kind of sets me into panic mode. I don’t like to really show much skin apart from my legs but then I stress out about being cold. Does anyone else do this? I then stress about being over or under dressed! When our summer social rolled around for work I was instantly stuck for what to wear but I had to think quick. This was my situ! Let me know your go-to going out style in the comments, maybe you’ll inspire me!
The sales have been going cu-razy recently, I’m sure you’ve noticed! I managed to stay away for a while but decided to take the plunge and try a few pieces that I’ve been after i.e the perfect indigo jeans and the perfect striped top. I thought I’d share 4 tips for shopping the sales so you can grab the best bargains and fill your wardrobe with absolute dreams.
Wardrobe rails can get pretty crowded over time, as we update them every season adding what’s new and on trend. But what if you could always look on point, with just five items in your wardrobe? I always switch up my wardrobe when it comes to each season. Packing away my jumpers and getting out my skirts etc but there are definitely key pieces that I keep in there all year round.
It’s official, say goodbye to your trusty skinny jeans (sob!) and welcome the old favourite straight leg denim back into your life. Straight leg jeans are the epitome of relaxed style, coming in and out of trends as time rolls on – but its official, they are back on trend for 2017.
Getting the right fit is vital. Make sure they’re slim, but not tight like skinnies. With a clean-cut but casual look, they look great with sweaters or relaxed tees. They are great for perfecting the chilled-out style. Whilst choosing the right top to match with your jeans is pretty easy – shoes however, can be tricky. They can make or break an outfit, so choose wisely when finishing off your outfit. Here are some of my favourite choices…
Nude heels are something that I’ve always wanted to add to my wardrobe but I’d never really had the occasion or found the perfect pair! Until 4th & Reckless got it touch with the chance for me to try one of their pairs of shoesies and I chose the pretty, simple and minimal Jasmine Basic Single Strap Nude Stilettos.
Interiors are another passion of mine, amongst style, food, fitness and eating pizza. I love decorating a new room, finding bargain homeware and pinning to my heart’s content on Pinterest. You can find my interiors board here and find my current obsessions for all things to do with tropical prints and green! I’ve teamed up with Elite Blinds today to bring you some of my favourite ways to incorporate these two trends into your home with easy and affordable options.
Shopping for the ‘rents can be tricky at Christmas but over the years I like to think that I’m getting better. Here are a few of my favourite picks and ideas for the main people in our lives! From beauty to bookmarks, I’ve got it covered.
Pressies For Mums
If you’re mum is a beauty and skincare junkie then she’s probably pretty easy to buy for and Christmas can be a great time to really treat her! I may or may not have already picked up the beautiful Clarins Festive Eyeshadow Palette which is a glorious palette of 10 ultra-soft eyeshadows in warm, nude shades in three different textures and finishes. Every woman needs a stunning eyeshadow palette in her life and this is one of the best things on the market right now in my opinion.
Last in my Barcelona series is this little lot! Some tips and tricks for a few things that we got up to and I really enjoyed so I wanted to share just in case anyone else is travelling to Barcelona and needs some advice on what to get up to over there.
Eating is always first on my list when it comes to travelling anywhere. I love to do loads of research before I go and then always end up finding new gems that I didn’t discover before. I’ve already done a round-up of my Top 4 Barcelona Brunch Destinations so, if brunch is your thing, definitely give that a read. Brunch is probably one of my favourite occasion because it is that, it’s an occasion, it’s not just a meal! So, brunch aside I’ve got a couple of places that I’d definitely recommend heading for some delicious meals.
I’ve called this the ‘Part 1’ haul on purpose because there’s absolutely zero point in calling it the only one because it almost definitely won’t be the last mini haul that I’ll be doing for our new flat.
At the weekend I headed to Victoria Retail Park in Netherfield, Nottingham and had a little browse. I didn’t realise that there were so many great shops for homeware haulin’ over there! There’s Next, B&M, TKMaxx, Argos, M&S Food, Boots and B&Q just to name a few places that are great for shopping for homeware and lifestyle. By lifestyle, I definitely mean crisps from M&S and makeup from Boots that I probably don’t need. But, if you’re in need of a shopping spree or a little retail therapy and don’t fancy attacking town then I’d head down to Victoria Retail Park if homeware is your thing.
I love discovering new apps and fresh ways of shopping and it doesn’t get fresher than Octer at the moment! This cool little app (and website!) lets you shop from a massive selection of stores from Zalando to FarFetch and pretty much everywhere you can think of in between and compare prices and products to see where you can get the best deal. You can save any items that you like the look of, just like on ASOS.
