Comfort zones are the one thing that a lot of people try to avoid. Do something everyday that scares you, get out of your comfort zone, blah. We hear it everyday don’t we? Well obviously doing this is amazing and it’s good for you but there’s something to be said about having a comfort zone.
Sweater weather is here! Hell to the yes, I literally love jumpers, cardigans, knitwear, however many times you want to say it – I just wanna be cosy af all the time. Here are 9 pieces fresh from three of my fave high street brands to shop from that I am loving for the new season.
ASOS is bringing the big guns this year when it comes to knitwear and they have nailed it with this oversized crew neck cream jumper. It is pure Pinterest perfection and is 100% going straight in my basket when a little discount rolls my way. Two super bright beauties that I’m loving have to be the fluffy lilac jumper with wide sleeves – (how amazing is this colour?) and the PrettyLittleThing three tiered baby blue jumper. Who said AW had to be all boring and dark? Not ASOS!
Going out ‘out’ is a funny thing! It’s a bit of a mine field for casual gals like me and it kind of sets me into panic mode. I don’t like to really show much skin apart from my legs but then I stress out about being cold. Does anyone else do this? I then stress about being over or under dressed! When our summer social rolled around for work I was instantly stuck for what to wear but I had to think quick. This was my situ! Let me know your go-to going out style in the comments, maybe you’ll inspire me!
I’ve been spying red everywhere recently, it’s been on everyone’s Insta feeds and all over the high street. It’s definitely one of the colours of the season right now and I’ve been scouring ASOS for the hottest dresses. Here are 5 of my absolute faves at the moment and they’re all under £30!
On a rare sunny Sunday I shot a few snaps with some new buys and I thought that this is typical British summer. It was about 19-ish degrees and sunny at random intervals. When I think British summer, this is it. Not those freak heatwaves we have for about a week and then it rains for two. This is British summer and how to style it can be tricky!
Autumn is going to catch up with us quicker than we think, I’m sure of it! It’ll soon be September and time to pack away the sandals and get back into our boots. I’ve been loving some of the new in pieces on the high street at the moment and thought these 6 pieces would be perfect for the seasonal transition. They can all work together as well so they’re great if you’re a capsule wardrobe chick like I wish I was.
There are so many things I love when it comes to interiors, decor and home ware in general. One of the things that tends to catch my eye the most though is flooring, which I believe is the very foundation to any house (literally!). Flooring can set the tone for a whole room, when paired with different furnishings it can bring so many features out to play. With that in mind I have decided to chat about a couple of my fave floors with you, some old, some new but all just lovely!
Weddings. They are all the same right? Everyone gets dressed up and wait around for the bride and groom to do their thing and then eats and drinks, sometimes with a bit of dancing thrown in until it’s carriages at midnight right? Well, if that sounds a bit to plain for you, because it does me, why not check out a little guide for making your wedding a day to remember, not just for you but also for all of your guests.
The sales have been going cu-razy recently, I’m sure you’ve noticed! I managed to stay away for a while but decided to take the plunge and try a few pieces that I’ve been after i.e the perfect indigo jeans and the perfect striped top. I thought I’d share 4 tips for shopping the sales so you can grab the best bargains and fill your wardrobe with absolute dreams.
Having a free Saturday meant four things had to happen. A lie in, brunch with my girl Robyn, shopping and some outfit snapping. A.K.A the best weekend activities.
Where we went
You’ll have seen me post about The Pudding Pantry before. It’s a little gem of Nottingham city centre that do epic cakes and tasty brunch. We both went for the classic scrambled eggs with a few cheeky sides. I spotted that PP have started doing their own ice cream and they have a full on truck inside with incredible flavours such as gin & tonic. If it wasn’t 10am we definitely would have grabbed a scoop.
