Why It’s OK Not To Have Defined Personal Style

Personal style is one of those things I like to think I’ve had all my life. From my beloved emo stage to where I am today I think I’ve always had my own sense of style. I’m happy that I’m never going to be a cookie-cutter Instagram-famous Missguided-wearing (OK, I have some pieces from Missguided but you know the dresses I mean!) type of girl. I’m more likely going to be wearing something a little bit fun like a faux fur bag or trying my best to channel a minimalist Scandi look than a bodycon dress, sky high heels or the latest slogan t-shirt. The Importance Of Being Confident In Your Gym Wear

This post is all about gym wear, but, it’s a little different. I hope it doesn’t come off as a rant but I just want to stick up for all the girls in the gym that I feel are similar to me and occasionally get judged for no reason.

I was listening to a podcast the other day, one that I normally love where they chat about funny stuff, day to day trials and tribulations, first world problems etc and it’s usually really funny. But, this time they were talking about gym wear and what they think of people that take pride in what they wear to workout in. Basically, they were saying if you’re wearing nice gym kit and not an old baggy t-shirt and holey leggings you don’t know what you’re doing and you’re essentially vain. I disagree with this completely. I don’t know about you, but just because I like to look my best in the gym by wearing pieces that I think are stylish from Nike, Sweaty Betty, Elle Sport and other stylish gym-wear brands. Read More

Super Quick Butt-Boosting Leg Workout

“I bet you’re in the gym for like 2 hours at a time aren’t you?” someone said to me the other day. I felt almost as if they were judging me and saying I’m boring just because I like fitness. It’s difficult to judge what people think about you when they say things like that but I definitely think we shouldn’t be thought of as boring if we do like to spend time in the gym. The point is that I only spend an hour in the gym if I’m doing a yoga class. My other sessions are between 25-40 minutes and that’s enough time to get a great workout in, so I don’t even spend that much time in there. It’s quite frustrating, don’t you think? Read More

Birthday Wishlist #24

There’s a definite theme with a few pieces I’ve had my eye on recently and I thought I’d pop them together for a little birthday wishlist as it’s next month but I’ll probably end up buying a couple of bits myself after my birthday as a treat as I don’t expect the amazing Whistles Vacation Sweatshirt as a gift, hello pricey! I’m waiting for a 25% off Grazia code to come my way or something equally lifesaving. Read More

Byron Burger Presents: Cluckosaurus Rex

After two solid weeks of tracking my food and hitting my calories, it was time for a cheat. Cheats are so important to keep yourself sane during diets and because we’re all human and need a burger every once in a while! I don’t feel like I need a ‘cheat meal’ to this sort of proportion every week, (this is serious eating!) but every two weeks I’m definitely going to have something super tasty and head out for a meal.
