It’s my first Christmas where I can decorate my own home in properly my own style which is really exciting! There’s nothing like Christmas at home but there’s nothing like decorating your own home either. Luke and I are really excited about getting the Christmas decs up and I’ve been doing a little research into how I’d like it to look! Whoever knows us knows that we aren’t the typical type with anything that we do so we won’t be going for the typical green tree and gold and red decorations! We’ll most likely be going for this IKEA YRSNÖ decoration stand which holds 48 decorations and a whole host of pink, blue and silver decorations with splashes of plush mince pie if my mood board is anything to go by.
I’ve had a little shop about most of the supermarkets and high street shops and I’ve come up with a little wish list of things that I want to see in my living room this Christmas! From Tesco, I really like their set of 4 pink honeycomb retro baubles and their holographic large sequin bauble. Paperchase will always come up with the goods this time of year and I’m loving their pom-pom encrusted pine cones, their pink sequin bauble and the perspex Happy Holidays decoration. They’ve also got some really nice glittery Eiffel Towers and the best glass pugs ever.
Marks and Spencer also have a few nice bits with their copper wire bauble being top of my list! To carry on the metallic accent I’m dying to get my hands on some of these John Lewis gold-rimmed champagne glasses and this Bitten London pineapple cushion from Wolf & Badger.
