Gift sets have to be one of the best things about Christmas, right? Teeny little beauty products, exclusive sets, fresh bottles of perfume and amazing deals from our fave skincare and beauty stores. I just think beauty at Christmas is just extra special! Here are 14 gifts that I’d love to find underneath the tree and that I’d definitely buy for a beauty lover such as myself!
It’s official, we can 100% talk about Christmas now because we’re well past Bonfire Night and there are no more specific holidays or events to come before the big C. Yes! Well, I’ve already started my Christmas shopping because I like to spread the cost and I like to pick things up, as and when as I see them. How do you shop? Are you a last minute shopper or a ready-since-August kinda person? Either way, I like to get a few off the wall gifts when I’m shopping for my family and friends!
With Christmas on the horizon, pennies are definitely tight for everyone. Even though we know it comes on the same day every year, it’s still a big expense! I think it’s impossible to properly budget for Christmas because you just don’t know what’s going to pop up and need paying for. That being said, DIY gifts are a great way to cut costs over the festive period. They’re also fun to make and will definitely make your friends and family smile.
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, you may be panicking about what to get as a last minute gift. Mums can be the hardest to buy for, do you splash out and get her something she’s always wanted? Or do you go down the sentimental and thoughtful route of flowers or chocolates?
The infographic below takes a look at some of the most popular gifts given to mums on Mother’s Day and aims to help you figure out which gift-giving route to head down.
There just two weeks until I’m not 22 anymore so I thought I’d put together a little wish list of some cute things I’m liking at the moment.
First up, beauty stuff. I seem to have endless supplies of products apart from highlighter and I really want to try the Benefit Watts Up Highlighter, it looks slightly less golden than my current highlighter so I feel like it’ll be more glowy. Also, I’m loving my gel nails kit and really fancy trying the Sensationail Polish in Heirloom Lilac. Lastly, I always use a colour shampoo and my current one is running low so I want to give the Tommy Guns Color Protect Shampoo a try.
Feeling like a little New Year pampering is in order? Yep? I’d definitely recommend Earls & Co in Cheltenham if you want a seriously luxurious, pampering and classy salon to visit. Whether you live near or just fancy a mini break I’d pop into this place for sure. You can book online which is a huge plus point too.
We are rapidly approaching the big day yet most have yet to tackle the task of gift buying. If just the thought of pounding the pavements to look for inspiration leaves you stressed, then sit down with a cuppa and read on. I’ve put together a strategy for working out the best way to get the Christmas shopping done. Try categorising your gift recipients by character or interest, I’ve found it really helps.
Obviously beauty gifts are something I love to find underneath the Christmas tree so here’s 5 of my top beauty gifts to give (and to put on your Christmas list!) this year.
Gifts such as the Selfridges Men’s AW Grooming Collection and Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar will always make the receiver smile. Both sets are worth over £200 and feature awesome brands such as Molton Brown, Clarins, Eve Lom and Tweezerman.
Christmas has a bit of a stigma for bad presents for some people! Too many pairs of socks, awkward gift cards for shops you’ve never set foot into and buckets of shower gel you’ll never get through? Sound familiar? (Apart from me, I love shower gel, FYI family & friends.)
Here’s 3 alternative ideas for gifts across the whole budget spectrum from your under a tenner Secret Santa to treating the whole family this festive season.
