Urban Decay Gwen Stefani: Firebird #UDxGwen

Say hello to a very beautiful new addition to my lipstick wardrobe. This is the Firebird lipstick and lip liner from Gwen Stefani’s new range at Urban Decay and it is so amazingly bright – these photographs really don’t do it justice. From the off I was super impressed with this duo, firstly I applied the UDxGwen Lip Pencil in Firebird all over the lips to lock in the colour and it was so creamy and easy to work with. I then applied the matching UDxGwen Lipstick in Firebird and this is where the magic happens. This lipstick has a slight sheen to it without looking glossy and shiny but there’s a subtle shimmer of purple and blue which really gives it an edge if you’re looking closely. Check out me wearing it over on Instagram. When I want to rock a statement lip, I either go for the perfect orange-red colour with the easiest application ever – Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Timanfaya. A little beauty post for us all today! I’ve got a few products that I seem to be reaching for on rotation at the moment to get a base I’m really enjoying wearing. Kicking off with the Smashbox Photo Finish Pore-Minimizing Primer and the Benefit Stay Don’t Stay Eyeshadow & Concealer Primer as a base. I find that I always need a eye-corrector like this primer to get rid of any darkness, redness and discolouration. Even if I’m not wearing eyeshadow I’ll use this primer to smooth everything out. A Very Pink Favourites

I’ve not written a favourites post in absolutely ages so I thought I’d have a little chat about some bits and bobs I’ve been lovely recently and they’re all very pink!

For starters, there’s a couple of Soap & Glory beauties in there, the DRAMA CLEAN™ 5-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water, make-up comes off like a dream but the only thing I had to get used to is the cucumber smell, it’s not my favourite scent, so if you’re not a cucumber fan, I wouldn’t pick this up. I’m used to it now so I can apprecitate the product for how awesome it is but just a warning on the old green stuff! Next up from S&G is their Original Pink Reed Diffuser which you can grab in this awesome Perfect Scents gift set which is half price in the Boots sale! This is currently making my bedroom smell lovely, it’s their original and classic Soap & Glory scent and it’s really clean and fresh. The only thing with this is when you buy it you have to remove the safety ‘plug’ before you put the reeds in and it’s SO tough to remove. We have pliers, tweezers, tie wraps, the lot. I’m not usually one for favourites posts because I think I’m fairly boring, I tend to stick to a lot of the same things but this month I had a few new favourite things come through my letterbox and I also popped to London and indulged my & Other Stories obsession.

‌First up, let’s keep on the & Other Stories track and let me introduce you to my favourite new shower gel. I love all the scents that they create, I literally don’t know how they make everything smell amazing but the Body Wash in Sirocco Sands is my current daily must-have. I also picked up the Natte Anti-Stress Sleeping Masque which is a really moisturising overnight mask and the really pretty Punk Bouquet Body Spray.
