Murad Essential-C Skin Care Range

Did anyone else take advantage of the InStyle & Murad collaboration code thingy that was winging it’s way around Twitter the other week? I snapped it up quicker than you could say ‘skincare’ and this little box of beauties was flying my way by the weekend. If you missed it, the offer was get this little kit worth £75 free when you bought anything else from the website, pretty good offer I thought! And, it got better. Postage was free. Amazing. I hate paying for postage, it’s really one of my biggest pet hates so I love when companies and brands offer free postage, it definitely makes me more inclined to purchase from them. I’ll be sharing my other purchase in a separate post because I’ve actually wanted to try it for ages and this offer spurred me on, but that’s for another day!

In the kit I received the Step 1 Essential-C Cleanser face wash which is packed full of anti-oxidants and vitamins which are supposed to defend and repair the skin from environmental damage. On first impressions, it smells really orangey and fresh which is lovely. I can’t wait to try it once I’ve finished my Una Brennan Super Facialist Cleanser. I also received two Step 2 options in my little parcel of joy. The sample sized products I received were the Advanced Active Radiance Serum and the Intensive-C Radiance Peel. The Advanced Active Radiance Serum is designed to improve brightness, clarity and radiance by 60% in less than a week. Big claims. But does it work? I’ll have to rain check on this one and if it does I’ll be popping it in a favourites very soon. The Intensive-C Radiance Peel is designed to brighten, smooth and hydrate to ‘see a radiant glow after just one treatment’. It’s essentially a face mask that sinks in and you rinse off the excess after about 10 minutes. It definitely made my skin feel less oily and my pores felt tighter, so the smoothing definitely worked. Last but not least, the Essential-C Day Moisture moisturiser with SPF 30 is a lovely finishing touch to the rest of the products.
