Covent Garden – The Perfect Winter Escape?

Fancy escaping the Christmas madness with a luxury break? Ok, maybe not all the madness, I can’t get you a teleportation device straight to your hotel room but I’ve got a few treats that can make a Christmas break extra festive and extra relaxing.

I’m focusing on Covent Garden today because I think it’s the prettiest bit of London! I really liked sitting outside and having a glass of wine just people watching when I headed there earlier in the month, it was just really relaxing.

So, where to stay? Well, Rosewood London is only a stone’s throw away from Covent Garden and is a tranquil haven that even has it’s own rooftop terrace and Christmas market called the Slow Food & Living Market throughout December – how cute is that? If that doesn’t sound relaxing, I don’t know what is.

What to do? Well in Covent Garden you’re close to Leicester Square, the British Museum, Theatreland and the Royal Opera House so it’s a perfect opportunity to get cultured! Also, there’s obviously Covent Garden Market which is awash with amazing shops and stalls selling all sorts of festive treats. Plus if you get hungry and fancy something a little bit uncultured – there’s a Shake Shack. I know where I’m heading next time I’m in London.
