Last week I headed to Thaikhun at Intu Victoria Centre in Nottingham with a bunch of some other lovely bloggers and we were treated to a Thai cooking class. I was so excited about this event, hence why I’m writing about it! I don’t usually write up a lot of events but this one was really well done and super enjoyable.
How to navigate British summer in style
On a rare sunny Sunday I shot a few snaps with some new buys and I thought that this is typical British summer. It was about 19-ish degrees and sunny at random intervals. When I think British summer, this is it. Not those freak heatwaves we have for about a week and then it rains for two. This is British summer and how to style it can be tricky!
To Ramen Or Not To Ramen
We headed down to Wagamama at the Cornerhouse, Nottingham on a recent Friday evening. All ready and raring to try out some of their dishes that are either new or refreshed for the summer! I’m a huge Wagamama fan anyway so I jumped at the chance of a date night at one of my most loved places to eat. I try to have something new every time I go to Wagamama because there’s so much choice.
The Weekend Files: Lakeside Yoga
FUN, FREE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ON OFFER TO THOUSANDS OF NOTTINGHAM RESIDENTS WITH THE RETURN OF PARKLIVES
I’m partnering with Coca-ColaGreat Britain on this post and their awesome ParkLives initiative. For a third year, more than 25 parks across Nottingham will be hosting hundreds of free activity sessions to get us fit for summer. From Pilates to Nordic Walking and even paddle board (SUP) Yoga there is literally something for everyone of every ability – even buggy fitness for all those mamas out there.
Hot Pod Yoga: My New Obsession
You’ve probably seen me tweeting all about Hot Pod Yoga for weeks, right? I’ve been trying to get everyone to go to the new pod that’s opened up in Nottingham city centre because I’m a total convert.
One of my fave blogger gals Becca is a huge fan and I would always see her ‘gramming about how amazing it is. Another amazing lady from work also goes and we had a trial through her as well so I’ve been going for about a month now on the various awesome launch membership offers that Sarah at the pod has been offering. And then, luckily the lovely Molly from Rose Beauty Files set up a blogger trial afternoon with them at the pod so I jumped at the chance for another go.
Around The World Review Nottingham
I’m going to kick this off by saying whoever invented halloumi is seriously special. I mean, those Greeks know how to do cheese. And that’s exactly what we started our dinner at Around The World with. Around The World is part of the new Bierkeller complex that’s hit up Friar Lane in Notts city centre. (It’s in the old Walkabout for anyone who’s bad with street names!) Around The World is a bar with Bierkeller German Stein and Hotdog bar below and a Shooters sports bar above it. The complex has literally everything for a fun, cheap night out with surprisingly good food.
The Weekend Round Up: Afternoon Tea
Weekend activities vary from week to week. One week it’s kettlebells and blog shoots and other weekends it’s city breaks. We love to pack loads into our free time and this weekend we headed to Chatsworth House to take advantage of an amazing gift we were bought for Christmas – the Cavendish Afternoon Tea. I definitely thought this would be the perfect opportunity for some photos.
Monochrome + Stripes = Uniform
Just a little outfit post for a Friday, keepin’ it light and not too serious for Good Friday. Hey Easter, four day weekend, I’m ready for you.
Whenever it comes to styling myself for blog shoots, shopping, generally getting dressed from day to day I always, always reach for something striped or something black. Or, like this outfit, the two together! This is a classic outfit for me switched up with some culottes over skinny jeans for a little something different.
Born In The 80s: Cocktails at Rub
Last week I dragged my buddies from UNiDAYS and our photography club Snap Collective (go follow us on Insta!) to Rub as they’d invited me down to try their new 80s themed cocktails. Every month we have a new theme for our photography club and for April it’s food & drink! Obviously, this is my favourite subject to talk about, photograph, blog about, everything, you guys know that. I love food, I’m a fat kid inside so whenever I have the chance to review food and drinks, I jump at it.
The Weekend Round Up: Unexpected Brunch
Can you believe it’s April already? I can’t even believe it’s Sunday already. Where does the time go? Weekends seem to fly by in a flash, especially when they’re jam packed and busy. I love a busy Saturday and a chilled out Sunday. This seems to be our go-to formula for a perfect weekend.
