Festive Breakfast at Bella Italia

To celebrate Christmas, a lovely little blogger Secret Santa and the end of my work with Bella Italia we decided to go for breakfast and try another menu from my Italian faves where they serve breakfast until 12 and it’s seriously good value. Breakfast is one of my favourite meals to eat out and I love tucking into a big plate before heading off for a day of shopping or a nice long walk. I’m equally obsessed with sweet and savoury breakfasts but decided to go full on savoury on this little trip out. It’s only £5 for all of the breakfast items, including a cooked breakfast/ Full English, pancakes, frittata or anything else. I opted for the Gigante Breakfast and it was insanely good value. We’re talking 3 rashers of bacon, 2 Cumberland pork sausages, tomato, baked beans, crispy potatoes, chestnut mushrooms and 2 fried, scrambled or poached eggs. Served with toasted ciabatta and butter which was delicious. Read More

The modern Christmas table

Christmas is definitely coming to my house… We’re whipping up the actual Christmas dinner this year (eek!) and I’ve wanted to make the house feel really Christmassy and the table super glam and festive without being a Christmas cliche. Enter, Next and their amazing circular pom pom trimmed placemats. They look awesome against a bit of kitsch tinsel and some snazzy matching beer bottles with some stand out branding. Yellow is definitely a fresh colour to give to Christmas, I think it’s quite unusual but works really well with gold which is obviously a classic. Read More

Meet Kris, the Hiking Boots You Need In Your Life

Let’s be honest, the hiking boot trend has been completely overhauled this past few weeks by the gorgeous Holly Willoughby just chilling in her Grensons in the I’m A Celeb jungle. But, we can’t all afford £250 boots just because they look cute, can we? Definitely not in my case so the fabulous Ego Shoes have come to the rescue with some absolute beauties. These are the Kris chunky boots and they are unbelievably comfortable. They are also under £60 which is a bargain for a sturdy pair of boots and definitely awesome for a trend led piece. Plus, they always have awesome discounts on site and you can grab student discount too if you’re lucky to be that young! Read More

17 Independent and Local Christmas Ideas

This Christmas I’m trying to buy as many presents as I can from local and independent sellers as opposed to the mega-big retailers that I usually buy from. I want to buy more thoughtful and good quality items.  And, I think it’s so great to make an independent seller happy by giving them a sale. And, more often than not their products are so awesome and not something you’d usually find on the high street. Read More

The Importance of Maintaining Female Friendships

There’s been a lot of chatter around female friendships / ‘girl gangs’ / finding your tribe for a few years now and it’s been all talk in the media and book market too since Lily Pebbles released The F Word. It’s one of those things I’ve always thought about because friends have been a funny thing for me over the years. I’m one of those people that has a few good friends, not a whole secondary school so I’ve sometimes felt out of place if I don’t have that one person with me that I know I can count on. Read More
