Christmas is officially a month today so I’m getting prepped by already having festive inspired sandwiches for lunch! Why not? Basically adding turkey and cranberry sauce to a standard ham and cheese toastie equals festive vibes and it is seriously tasty and exactly what’s on the menu for a weekend lunch. I’m also here to celebrate this absolutely amazing chopping board / serving board from independent online retailer, based in Devon, Vincent Trading.

I also have an awesome little competition to win this gorgeous Vincent Trading Large Serving Board worth £25 (obviously they’ll send you a new one, not mine!). This is a kitchen essential for any home and it is a quality, amazing piece of kit. Each one of these boards are made from reclaimed wood and is handmade in Devon. They’re cleaned, sanded until smooth and finished with a food safe hard wax oil. Each board is handmade to order and may different slightly in colour and size and are approximately 43cm long with the handle, the serving area is approximately 33cm long x 22cm wide. Check out the Rafflecopter below to enter and I’ll pick a winner on 9th December.
The (very simple) recipe
Step 1: Grab your bread, you can use any bread you like, I’m using ciabatta rolls but sourdough would also be delicious.
Step 2: Butter both sides of the bread and heat up your frying pan.
Step 3: Add a small amount of oil to your pan and get it on a high heat. Fry your bread on both sides until crispy.
Step 4: Add your filling, I used ham, turkey and cheddar but obviously some stuffing would be incredible in this for Christmas and maybe even some pigs in blankets!
Step 5: Cook until the cheese is melted and then transfer to a board and add cranberry sauce and mayonnaise. Slice in half and eat!
Also, can we all just celebrate the fact I have a YouTube channel now? After 7 years of blogging ha!
