MAC Warm Soul Mineralize Blush

This is another (& the last) of my duty free buys from Tokyo. I’ve had my eye on this for a while after I’d had a recommendation on Twitter for what to pick up in duty free. I don’t own any bronzey-peach blushes like this, the majority of mine are quite strong or deep pinks so this is a nice change for me. It looks really good with a tan and makes you look more tanned when you wear it, I like it just above a matte bronzer contour for a bit of shimmer on the cheeks. It’s described on the MAC website as a mid tone beige with gold pearl. It is such a pretty shade and I’m really glad I bought it. Read More

Food Review: A Cheat Day with Takeaway.com

Today’s post comes to you with a happy full tummy and without an empty purse.
Takeaway.com were kind enough to let me review their service with a very generous voucher. Now, most of the time I eat well and I really enjoy healthy food and I think I have a pretty balanced diet but we all need to have a cheat meal every now and again because otherwise we might explode! It doesn’t have to be a takeaway, it can just be something a bit naughty cooked at home but on this occasion, a very tired Sunday evening, it was definitely a Takeaway.com moment. The only conditions were that the place that I ordered from had to accept online payment and I had to make the order on a computer not a mobile device. Not huge deal-breakers really! Here’s what I thought… Read More

Beauty: NUXE Paris Refreshing Moisturising Mist

Whilst in Tokyo I picked up this little Nuxe Paris Refreshing Moisturising Mist, that sets your make up. I’ve looked on the Nuxe UK website and I can’t find it so I’m thinking that it might not be available in the UK. This little beauty smells amazing and I’ve found that it actually does keep my make-up in place for slightly longer than it normally would with my oily skin. It’s a bit wetter than other facial mists like the Avene Eau Thermale and comes out as more of a spray than a mist so you definitely have to make sure that you’re holding it a certain distance from your face otherwise you get a really wet face. This is great for these horrible winter months for giving your make-up a little refresh halfway through the day too. With rose petals and being suitable for sensitive skin it’s super gentle and is a nice finishing step to my make-up routine. Read More

Hair: Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo Review

Image

Another hair post this week! Dry shampoo is one of my staple hair styling products, but this one has disappointed me! I hate to say this because I do like Batiste hair products normally, I’ve bought their normal dry shampoo for years but this one, I think because of the XXLness of this product it makes your hair feel really thick and sticky and horrible! I mean, I’m going to use it up because I’ve bought it but I won’t be buying this one again. I’ll buy the normal dry shampoo again but this one was horrible! It didn’t make my hair feel fresh at all, just sticky and full of residue. Not the idea of a dry shampoo at all! The only nice thing about this is the smell, it does smell lovely. Read More

Dr Nick Lowe Oil Control Day Cream

Image

The lovely people at Dr Nick Lowe Skincare saw my Skincare Wishlist and asked if I’d like to try the Oil Control Day Cream! Literally jumped at the chance and it arrived the very next day. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I’m really liking it.

It says; “A light and easily absorbed daily moisturiser to help regulate surface oils and deliver ultimate hydration. The powerful formulation helps reduce the surface skin oils, pores and refine the skin’s texture, all of which help reduce breakouts and spots. May be used day and night.” Read More

Stila Waterproof Brow Pen Review

ImageImageImage

I was watching some videos from Escentual.com with Binky from Made in Chelsea & Daniel Sandler and he used this on her brows and said that it was waterproof. This really interested me because I’ve been using the MUA Cosmetics Brow Palette with a little Topshop angled brush. I love it when it goes on, it’s easy to use and I like to mix the two colours and it matches my eyebrows perfectly. BUT, when I look in the mirror like an hour later, I HAVE NO EYEBROWS. That annoys me so much. I feel like, if I don’t have my fringe down obv, I need my eyebrows to frame my face. Read More
