When you’ve lived somewhere for a while, like anything that sticks around for longer than 5 minutes, there is the tendency to become a bit bored with it. But, unless you’re cu-razy rich it’s probably not on the cards to up and move every time you get bored with your home and interiors.
As if it’s September? It’s basically autumn and summer is well and truly behind us. Well, I hope the weather realises so anyway because I always get so confused this time of year about what to wear. The day will start out freezing and you’ll be sweating by lunchtime. Nightmare. Anyway, seeing as it’s a whole new month I thought I’d share some items I’m lusting over for the new season.
I never thought I’d be the type of girl to crave a ‘dressing table’ or somewhere to lay all my makeup out but after not having one forever I’m definitely wanting one at the moment! I think once we’re finally settled in a ‘proper house’ it’ll be high up on my list of priorities for our bedroom.
There are so many things I love when it comes to interiors, decor and home ware in general. One of the things that tends to catch my eye the most though is flooring, which I believe is the very foundation to any house (literally!). Flooring can set the tone for a whole room, when paired with different furnishings it can bring so many features out to play. With that in mind I have decided to chat about a couple of my fave floors with you, some old, some new but all just lovely!

City living is great for a lot of reasons. I know I love it compared to small town life. Most cities are exciting places to be. You can pop out for a coffee, or a meal, whenever you fancy. You never have to miss out because the bus times were wrong, or you had no way of getting there. Plus points aside (and, honestly, there are a lot of them!) there are some not so great things. Sometimes, city living can get on top of you. We all need peace and quiet sometimes. And, something that’s a particular problem when the sun starts shining; outside space can be hard to come by. I know this at the moment, especially as sometimes when the sun comes out I miss my garden!
The bathroom is definitely one of the most used rooms in any home, and it has a huge influence on our daily activities. However, it’s also a room that tends to get ignored as we can often turn our attention to the living room or bedrooms. In reality, though, this part of the home should be updated every few years at least. So if your bathroom has gone a long time without receiving the affection it deserves, now’s the time to make a change!
I haven’t written an interiors related post for a while! I wrote about tropical trends at Victoria Retail Park, Scandi bedroom inspo and bathroom storage tips this year though if you fancy a read. I may not write about interiors weekly as I might do food or fashion but it’s definitely still something that I think about on a daily basis. Usually, it’s just pinning on Pinterest or liking some of my favourite house-related Instagram accounts, but I love interiors!
