I’m very much a home bird usually but recently I’ve been a bit of a social butterfly with so much going on. It’s the festive season, there’s always a lot happening around this time of year! But, saying that, I do love a good night in with my nearest and dearest. Whether it’s the girls or just my partner in crime, an evening on the sofa is sometimes just what you need when you’ve had a busy week at work.
Review: The Titanic Hotel Liverpool
When a hotel room is at least 3x the size of your flat you know you’re about to have a great night, right? The Titanic Hotel Liverpool suites are absolutely ridiculously huge and beautiful and we had an awesome time. We paid for a standard room which looked incredible in itself but we managed to wangle an upgrade when we said it was our anniversary. I mean, if you don’t ask, you don’t get and we just thought we’d try it!
4 Alternative Christmas Gifts
It’s official, we can 100% talk about Christmas now because we’re well past Bonfire Night and there are no more specific holidays or events to come before the big C. Yes! Well, I’ve already started my Christmas shopping because I like to spread the cost and I like to pick things up, as and when as I see them. How do you shop? Are you a last minute shopper or a ready-since-August kinda person? Either way, I like to get a few off the wall gifts when I’m shopping for my family and friends!
How To Scandi-ify Your Life!
If I had to choose one region to visit or style to wear or even Pinterest board to just pin to forever it would be something Scandinavian. I’m dying to visit Sweden, Denmark and Norway just to see if it’s really as awesome as Pinterest makes it look. I love the interiors, the fashion and the food looks pretty great too. I mean, IKEA meatballs are probably hardly on par with actual Swedish meatballs but I think they’re pretty good! Here are three things to focus on if you want to Scandi up your life a little bit!
2 DIY Gift Ideas: Edible VS Creative
With Christmas on the horizon, pennies are definitely tight for everyone. Even though we know it comes on the same day every year, it’s still a big expense! I think it’s impossible to properly budget for Christmas because you just don’t know what’s going to pop up and need paying for. That being said, DIY gifts are a great way to cut costs over the festive period. They’re also fun to make and will definitely make your friends and family smile.

Working a full-time job doesn’t mean that you can’t earn extra income. It may seem impossible, but there are so many ways! Working full time is hard, but we can always make a little more time than we think. Try these tips for extra time and then we’ll get on to how to make some extra cash later.
The #TetleySmiles Challenge
Since signing up for my British Heart Foundation Maraton in a Month I’ve been thinking more about charity and what everyone can do to help so when Tetley (yep, the tea!) contacted me and told me all about their The Tetley Smile Challenge I knew I had to share it! It’s a major new campaign to celebrate a $1 million donation by Tetley and Tata Sons to The Smile Train cleft lip charity. The aim of the Smile Challenge is to capture one million smiles to help support Smile Train, which funds life-changing surgery for children born with a cleft lip or palate.
Where To Stay In Cheltenham: Cheltenham Park Hotel
We like to get out and about in the UK, try new towns and cities and always find a new coffee shop to delve into. This weekend we stayed at the Cheltenham Park Hotel which is a huge hotel in the beautiful Cotswolds and I thought I’d tell you all about it.
The Location & Facilities
Cheltenham Park is actually located in Charlton Kings, about 2 miles drive from the centre of Cheltenham in a quiet area and only about 10 minutes from Cheltenham Racecourse. It’s a really big hotel, one of the biggest I’ve stayed in but the rooms are all great sizes. There is a gym, spa, beauty and health club facilities with a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. We spent some time in the well-equipped gym and the pool on Saturday afternoon which was lovely. I decided to run a 5km in addition to my Marathon In A Month that I’m doing for the British Heart Foundation and I loved running on an actual treadmill instead of the road for once!
How To Move House In A Week
If you’ve kept up with me on Instagram recently you’ll probably know that we’ve upped and moved to a new home. This has been a bit of a whirlwind move because things move so quickly in the rental market we had to get in there as soon as we found a place that we liked in our perfect location.
We sorted absolutely everything in just over a week. On a Friday we found out that we could move in the following Friday and we were completely unpacked by Saturday evening around 7pm. A lot of people that we’ve told have been surprised how quickly everything has got sorted but I think it’s simply being efficient. If people still have things in boxes after a week of moving into a new house I wonder what they’ve been doing? If decorating is involved, fair enough but if it’s a ready-to-move-in place, why waste time?
Why It’s OK To Let Life Takeover Sometimes
I’ve been kind of a bad blogger recently but you know when you can’t really get excited about anything and need a bit of a break? Yep. Pretty much it! That said, I did publish two posts last week and some people only do one post a week as standard so I don’t think I should beat myself up about it at all. I’m having a bit of a chill out with my blog at the moment, I still love it but I don’t want it to feel like a chore. So, when I don’t feel like blogging about anything, I won’t. This way, hopefully, every post will actually be as good as I want it to be and it won’t be forced at all.
