Where to Eat in Brixton

A few weekends ago I headed ‘down London’, as my Nan would say, to see one of my gorgeous best friends in her new flat. We had the most food-fuelled couple of days and it was awesome. I wanted to share the places that we headed to with you guys just in case you’re heading to Brixton anytime soon! There were a million and one amazing looking cafes, pubs and bars that I wanted to try but these were the ones we ended up with and they were all delicious.

First up, when I arrived in Brixton we headed for some brunch. We ended up at Rosie’s Deli Cafeย which is tucked away inside the indoor market area. I had cinnamon french toast with maple syrup, proscuitto ham and ricotta cheese. This was amazing – plus they do a really good cup of tea. Flo had the most amazing looking scrambled eggs with chilli jam on toast, I was tempted by that too.

For dinner, we were going to head out a little further afield and grab some cocktails too but all the tubes were down so we ventured about 100 metres from the flat to the Brixton Night Market and found the Roti Brothers! These guys do the best rotisserie chicken, we had these pulled rotisserie chicken burgers with chilli relish, Monterey Jack cheese, avocado and slaw. Literally the best chicken burger ever. All in a brioche bun – my favourite.

Another day – another brunch! On the Sunday before I left we headed to Wild Caper – a little place also in Brixton Market (near Franco Manca if you know the area!). I had Eggs Benedict with bacon on sour-dough toast. It was insanely good! Look at this serious yolk-porn right here. Oh yeah.

I hope you enjoyed this little post. If you’ve eaten at any of these places let me know what you think!
