When the new La Roche-Posay Make-Up Remover Micellar Water Gel popped through my letter box the other day, I didn’t really get it. It’s a micellar water but it’s a gel. You apply it to wet skin but you don’t rinse it off. I was confused straight away – the only thing to do was to try it out immediately! I love washing my face at the end of the day if my skin is behaving. If I’m having a bit of a bad time with my skin, taking my makeup off definitely isn’t my favourite time of the day but usually, if it’s behaving, I really enjoy the feeling of a freshly cleansed and moisturised face.
I’ve been using this crazy new makeup remover for about a week now and the best way that I’ve found to use it is to start with a face full of the day’s makeup and grime and then wash my face either with a face wash or a cleansing balm and a flannel to get through the first layer of grime. Then, obviously my face is wet from doing this, I apply the La Roche-Posay Gel and take it off with a few cotton pads until they come away completely clean. It usually takes 2-3 pumps and small cotton pads. This leaves my face feeling so clean but not with that horrible tight feeling that some acne-related skincare products leave you with. I’m really enjoying it, even if I didn’t quite get it at first!
I’ve always been a fan of La Roche-Posay and I use their Effaclar K+ on a daily basis. I did a first impressions post about this a few months back, it’s here if you want to check it out. Do you like LRP? Have you tried their new Micellar Water Gel yet?
