My top travel beauty essentials

Travel beauty is something that I find really exciting because everything is super cute and teeny! We’re off to Berlin & Krakow in a few weeks for my birthday so I am all about the travel tips if you’ve got them please. Here are a few of the products that I’ll definitely be taking away with us for our trip. Some are new finds and some are old favourites that I always pick up when we go away. Let me know in the comments if you have any travel beauty posts or recommendations!

Skincare saviours

One product that I always take away with me are the Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Wipes. I always have a pack of face wipes handy at home for when I’m super tired and need a quick fix. I always double cleanse but I take my makeup off with an oil cleanser usually but when I’m tired I love using face wipes to get rid of most of my makeup. These are the wipes that I always take away with me because they’re really moisturising and gentle. There’s never enough room for two cleansers when you go away, is there? Wipes are such a space saver when you go away!

Teeny tiny products are another way that I make sure my skincare routine is still intact when I go away. The Frezyderm Instant Lifting Serum is a great tightening serum and is a cute size. It’s also a good primer so it’s a two in one kinda guy! The L’Occitane and Rifle Paper Co Hand Cream limited edition hand cream is also perfect for popping in my travel bag. I always have hand cream in my bag at this time of year because my skin gets really dry and this one has the cutest packaging.

Finally, I got the Soap & Glory advent calendar for Christmas and it had some pods of some of their best selling products in which are absolutely perfect for taking away! I reckon there’s two showers in each pod and there’s always extra shower gel in hotels for back up so these will definitely be coming with me. I’ve got the Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel and Sugar Crush Body Scrub to keep me smelling sweet on my travels.

Multipurpose products

By taking only one product when you would normally take two it’s obviously going to save *all* the space! Benefit Go Go Tint is perfect for blush and a lip colour so I’ll only take this and a lip balm as opposed to a blusher and a tonne of different lipsticks. I’m happy with sticking with one lip colour for the week to save space. Have you tried this liquid blush? It’s such a great colour and is really long lasting too which is also great for city breaks when you’re out all day.

Another multitasking saviour is the Garnier Skin Naturals Moisturiser, I’ll use this for my body and face when I’m away because it’ll be really cold and I’ll need to keep my skin hydrated. This is such a bargain product too, it’s under £2 and it’s so moisturising. I’ve also got a KIKO eyeshadow which doubles up as a great highlighter and a teeny tiny Benefit Hoola bronzer that doubles up as obviously a bronzer and is also awesome for eyeshadow! Do you have any multitasking products that you take away with you?

Chuck-away charm

I’ve picked up some sample packs of Waldo contact lenses that are one-wear only to take away with me. The only thing I struggle with is contact lens solution when I go away – I can never fit it into my carry on luggage so I always have to buy it in the airport and it’s really annoying! So, I’ve got 5 pairs of disposable lenses to take away with me so I don’t have to worry about taking my case and any solution. Easy and I only had to pay postage for these samples!
