I noticed when I was tidying round the other day that all of my favourite products at the moment are following a super cute orange and peach theme. I tend to leave my favourite products out on the top of my Muji drawers as I’m using them and this little line up appeared! There are tonnes of products here but I wanted to run through some new and old beauties that are right at the top of my routine at the moment.
Facial sprays are one of those little luxuries that I just love to have in my skincare and beauty routine. They just start or finish off my base so perfectly and make my skin feel really comfortable and fresh. I have three favourites that are in my routine at the moment and they all have different uses so I wanted to share them with you babes.
I like to think I’m somewhere in the middle when it comes to being high maintenance about my appearance. I definitely care, I wear makeup pretty much everyday and I spent money on getting my brows, hair and nails done. But, I feel like I’m fairly relaxed because I don’t spend hours and hours on it and I don’t want to look like I’ve just walked off Love Island. Basically, I unashamedly love beauty and I find it really fun to experiment with makeup and beauty trends. Here are my four rules for getting perfect lashes and brows because sometimes that’s all that makes you happy sometimes and that’s OK.
Say hey to 3INA, (pronounced Mee-Nah!) a guilt-free beauty brand which is vegan wherever they can be and they’re cruelty free as well as using recyclable materials in their packaging. So, all’s good so far, right? Plus, they’ve got super cute branding, an amazing range of products and colours and they sent me these gorgeous matte lipsticks to have a look at and I wanted to share them with you babes.
Travel beauty is something that I find really exciting because everything is super cute and teeny! We’re off to Berlin & Krakow in a few weeks for my birthday so I am all about the travel tips if you’ve got them please. Here are a few of the products that I’ll definitely be taking away with us for our trip. Some are new finds and some are old favourites that I always pick up when we go away. Let me know in the comments if you have any travel beauty posts or recommendations!
Browsing beauty counters is something that I’ve loved for years. Swatching the shades, getting mini makeovers and walking away with a treat beautifully wrapped in a gorgeous brand’s packaging? The dream for beauty junkies, right? Totally is! So, this is why I was super excited when a new Nars counter landed in John Lewis in Nottingham city centre and I was invited down to check it out.
Looking for some Halloween inspo? Always. Here are some of this year’s most popular looks and how you can achieve them, even if you’re not a trained makeup artist (because who is?).
1. Pop art
Take your inspiration from pop artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein to create this not-so-scary Halloween look. The great thing about this look is that you can use products that you probably already own, and even if you don’t, they won’t be too expensive to buy. You’ll need
I rarely purchase new makeup these days because I’m trying to use up everything I’ve already got but I have picked up some new bits over the past couple of weeks that I’m really enjoying so I wanted to share some of these gems with y’all.
We ran into some lovely Benefit samples at work and I went home with the Benefit GoGo Tint and the Benefit They’re Real Duo Shadow Blender which was a lovely surprise. Let’s start with the eyeshadow. The weird little applicator is impossible to use so let’s just forget about that. It’s tiny and you can not keep hold of it unless you have a pincer grip. But, the product itself, being the eyeshadow is a beautiful rich taupe-y brown shade and I’ve been using it almost everyday because it’s lovely and matte. The shimmery shade is also a great highlight colour and the formula of both is buttery and smooth and really long lasting.
Summer is coming! Well, hopefully, if this rain ever goes away. Summer equals tanning, bronzed skin and some sunshine to go along with holidays and getting your legs out. For me this is anyway!
1. Be gradual
Whether it’s in-shower or over night, gradual tans are the best way to get the glow without the shock! I find that traditional fake tan is too much of a colour change the next day and everyone’s all “You look different.”. But, with a gradual, no one really notices as much. I’m so stealth. I also love to add a little gradual tanner to my face moisturiser every few nights in the summer. Bronzer is also a staple for my summertime makeup, kabuki brushes are perfect for creating the perfect contoured ‘3’ around your face.
It seems to be cold and grey and gross in the UK for so long that when the spring time rolls around and we actually get some sunshine we all freak out and think it’s summer (put those shorts away guys, it’s not warm!). But, it’s still kinda chilly but there are definitely some changes happening with the weather. My skin and hair always go a bit weird when the weather changes, does yours?
