The weekend files; brunch and a new style trial

Having a free Saturday meant four things had to happen. A lie in, brunch with my girl Robyn, shopping and some outfit snapping. A.K.A the best weekend activities.

Where we went

You’ll have seen me post about The Pudding Pantry before. It’s a little gem of Nottingham city centre that do epic cakes and tasty brunch. We both went for the classic scrambled eggs with a few cheeky sides. I spotted that PP have started doing their own ice cream and they have a full on truck inside with incredible flavours such as gin & tonic. If it wasn’t 10am we definitely would have grabbed a scoop.

What I wore
I picked up these cropped wide leg jeans from the Marksies sale this week along with this jersey bomber paired with another sale bargain – my French Connection backpack. What do you think about cropped denim? I think these jeans are kind of cute and I like the tone difference in the colours which gives them a little edge. I suppose they’re just like denim culottes and I’m already down with those. I don’t know why I’ve not picked any up before!

A plain grey crew neck from ASOS and adidas Stan Smiths finished it off. I’ve also got some new jewellery faves. These are the Aurora and the Intertwined Paths rings from How pretty are they? I’m a huge fan of silver jewellery, especially rings and these have become a firm fave. I loved being able to wear my actual watch this weekend, not my Apple Watch which I tend to wear mid-week to track workouts and steps etc. All photos by Robyn.
