Mixing textures: Faux fur, leather look & borg

This winter has seemed to go on for ever, right? I feel like hardly a day’s gone past when I’ve not worn my aviator jacket because it’s just possibly the warmest thing that I’ve bought this season.

I wanted to change things up and *try* to wear a different coat for once so this Primark borg teddy coat came into play! It’s so cute, surprisingly warm and I think it was only £20. I don’t think it’s available in stores anymore because like the psychos that the fashion industry are, the spring stuff is already out! There’s a similar piece here from New Look on ASOS which is also amazing so if you’re still in the market for a teddy coat there’s definitely some out there on the high street.

I love the texture of the borg/teddy coats, they’re just so cosy and go well with so many different outfit options. I wanted to try a little mixing of textures so added this amazing Nasty Gal Fur The Greater Good Faux Fur Bag because if you can’t wear pink faux fur in January, when can you?

I added two other textures to this babe with these ASOS velvet chunky boots which aren’t on the website anymore but these are really similar from Monki and Pimkie. I’ve worn these so much this winter because the sole is so chunky they keep my feet really toasty! I chatted about my three winter style faves in this blog post if you fancy checking that out.

The last texture in this crew were these killer leather look leggings that are from Oasis. I spied these Karen Millen ones that are amazing too! I’ve never really bought much from Oasis but when I spotted these on House of Fraser (when I was looking for some Mango ones, I must admit) they looked great and I gave them a go. They fit perfectly, are so comfortable and are also really warm. I tend to layer a thin pair of thermal leggings underneath too which are undetectable if you don’t know and they keep me toasty af when it’s -2 outside.

What are your favourite textures to mix? I love faux fur, leather and velvet at the moment!
