For a while, it looked as though spring had finally arrived, following a ridiculously long winter. But, then it went back into hiding, and the grey skies and rain returned. This has left a lot of us feeling a little miserable or even depressed. Many people suffer from seasonal depression as a lack of sunlight and warmth affects their mood and their desire to go outdoors and this extended period of poor weather can start to get to all of us. So, whether you suffer from seasonal affective disorder or you’ve just had enough, it’s important that you find ways to beat the bad weather blues.
In the UK in 2015, it was found that 68% of men and 58% of women were either obese or overweight – this is way too high, isn’t it? It shouldn’t be too surprising to hear that 2/3rds of Brits admitted to either being on a diet all or for most of the time. Of course, the topics of healthy eating and weight loss are massively popular talking points at the moment! They’re on every channel and in every magazine, aren’t they? According to The Telegraph, 33% of resolution makers want to lose weight, and 32% want to eat more healthily. With this in mind, MaxiMuscle investigate what the biggest diet trends could be in 2018:
The festive season is well and truly here and I am all about getting sorted for Christmas. I’m wrapping gifts, buying advent calendars, booking in Christmas catch-ups and parties and popping up cute Christmas lights! Yas. Speaking of Christmas lights, how awesome are these customisable alphabet lights from Cox & Cox? If you know me, you’ll know that I am all about anything that I can customise, personalise or generally have my name on. I was all about those velvet headbands with my name on in the Nineties, so, why should that change? You could write Merry Christmas, your names, Ho Ho Ho, reindeer’s names, anything that’ll make you feel festive af.
When you’ve lived somewhere for a while, like anything that sticks around for longer than 5 minutes, there is the tendency to become a bit bored with it. But, unless you’re cu-razy rich it’s probably not on the cards to up and move every time you get bored with your home and interiors.
There are so many things I love when it comes to interiors, decor and home ware in general. One of the things that tends to catch my eye the most though is flooring, which I believe is the very foundation to any house (literally!). Flooring can set the tone for a whole room, when paired with different furnishings it can bring so many features out to play. With that in mind I have decided to chat about a couple of my fave floors with you, some old, some new but all just lovely!

Eesh. I know. 99% of the time breakouts are the devil. They’re the one thing that you do NOT want to happen. But, recently, I’ve come to a little realisation that sometimes they can be a good thing. Breakouts are basically a clear out of all the junk under your skin which is gross, but it can leave you with the glowiest of glowing skin when everything’s cleared up.

A Caribbean vacation is a popular desire for loads of travellers. That’s pretty vague thought, the Caribbean is made up of a lot of different islands and countless appealing destinations. It can be difficult to narrow down the options, particularly given that most every place you Google in the entire area looks similarly idyllic. The secret is that all of these destinations are spectacular, so to some extent it’s not really necessary to make up your mind. Here are five places you have to go, along with a few reasons why!
The ‘Queen of Prints’ Orla Kiely is on for her second collaboration with classic British footwear brand and one of my personal favourites – Clarks. This capsule collection of six shoe styles for the Autumn Winter season is synonymous of the 60s and 70s, fueled by colour and chunky style and the attention to detail is absolutely amazing. The collection was previewed at London Fashion Week in February ’14 and is perfect for the vintage/retro lover going into the colder months. Here’s a snapshot of the whole capsule collection, all of the styles come in at least two different colour-ways.
