I’m sure we were all hoping for florals, cute striped trousers and light jackets by the middle of March but the Beast from The East is havin’ none of that – am I right? So, we need a few cute ideas to jazz up outfits now that we’re having to still rock knitwear and thermal leggings under your jeans.
5 Steps To A Mini Bathroom Revamp
If your bathroom isn’t a space that you’re in love with, then that’s got to change. How can you possibly relax and unwind in a space that you don’t love? You can’t! So, if you’ve fallen out of love with the design and decor of your bathroom, it’s imperative that you do something about it.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost: The Review
Say hello to the new range from Neutrogena to hit the UK high street! It’s the No. 1 skincare product in the US from a 2015 Nielsen study and now we can get our hands on it. I’ve been trialling their new Hydro Boost range which is super lightweight yet delivers intense hydration and is absolutely perfect for summer. They say it leads to “skin so supple it bounces back!”. Having hydrated skin means you look healthier and younger because hydration maintains elasticity and flexibility in the skin.
The New Way To Online Shop?
I love discovering new apps and fresh ways of shopping and it doesn’t get fresher than Octer at the moment! This cool little app (and website!) lets you shop from a massive selection of stores from Zalando to FarFetch and pretty much everywhere you can think of in between and compare prices and products to see where you can get the best deal. You can save any items that you like the look of, just like on ASOS.
New Summer Skincare Finds
Since the sunshine has made a sparse appearance I’ve got a couple of summer skincare favourites to share with you today. I was going to pop up a little June favourites post but then I realised that I didn’t really have that many things that I was loving that I hadn’t chatted about before on here so a full on favourites post definitely wasn’t necessary.
5 Summer Capsule Wardrobe Essentials
Hopefully summer is almost here! We had a touch of sunshine recently but hopefully we’ll have some more that’s here to stay very soon. If not, we’ll have to wait for our summer holidays!
1. The White Jeans
I love white jeans, they just scream summer to me and are so fresh! These J Brand 811 Blanc Jeans look to be the perfect shade of bright white. I’ve always wanted to try some J Brand jeans so these are definitely on my wish list.
Style Obsession: The Neutral Wrap Skirt
I recently featured this gorgeous River Island Pink Woven Wrap Midi Skirt in my New Season Wish List post last week and just had to pick it up too. I can’t wait for the rain to go away and for it to be skirt weather again! Since spying this skirt online, I checked out ASOS and four other wrap skirts that have sneaked onto my spring capsule wardrobe dream list. They’re all neutral and super versatile. I can see them all working with trainers and a great t-shirt for the day and heels for a night out!
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani: Firebird #UDxGwen
Say hello to a very beautiful new addition to my lipstick wardrobe. This is the Firebird lipstick and lip liner from Gwen Stefani’s new range at Urban Decay and it is so amazingly bright – these photographs really don’t do it justice. From the off I was super impressed with this duo, firstly I applied the UDxGwen Lip Pencil in Firebird all over the lips to lock in the colour and it was so creamy and easy to work with. I then applied the matching UDxGwen Lipstick in Firebird and this is where the magic happens. This lipstick has a slight sheen to it without looking glossy and shiny but there’s a subtle shimmer of purple and blue which really gives it an edge if you’re looking closely. Check out me wearing it over on Instagram.
Current Beauty Base Favourites
A little beauty post for us all today! I’ve got a few products that I seem to be reaching for on rotation at the moment to get a base I’m really enjoying wearing. Kicking off with the Smashbox Photo Finish Pore-Minimizing Primer and the Benefit Stay Don’t Stay Eyeshadow & Concealer Primer as a base. I find that I always need a eye-corrector like this primer to get rid of any darkness, redness and discolouration. Even if I’m not wearing eyeshadow I’ll use this primer to smooth everything out.
