Going out ‘out’ is a funny thing! It’s a bit of a mine field for casual gals like me and it kind of sets me into panic mode. I don’t like to really show much skin apart from my legs but then I stress out about being cold. Does anyone else do this? I then stress about being over or under dressed! When our summer social rolled around for work I was instantly stuck for what to wear but I had to think quick. This was my situ! Let me know your go-to going out style in the comments, maybe you’ll inspire me!
I shopped around and had a general browse and settled on some rather jazzy Nasty Gal trousers, the red and the pink pairs here. I loved them and knew that I wanted to pair them with a slogan tee to bring the sass down a level and just give them a cool edge. I fell for the ASOS Female Forever tee for the occasion and I’m so glad I did because I’ve worn it a couple of times since and it’s super versatile!
Fancy some trews like these sassy pink ones? ASOS have three pairs that are killer. The Mango Drawstring Trousers, ASOS High Waist Tapered Trousers and the ah-mazing ASOS Trouser with Origami Waist and Tie Detail are all perfect for this look too.
I planned to wear the sassy pink or red trousers with perfect block heeled ASOS shoes that are my go-to comfy heels. They’re plain so wouldn’t take away from the trousers and they’re black so coordinate with the top and to finish it all off, they’re comfy. Here are some dupes from ASOS because they don’t sell the ones that I actually have anymore. The ASOS Hampstead High Heels and Faith Wide Fit Sandals are both perfect for block-heel lovers like me.
But, I’ll let you into a secret. I actually went with the first outfit in the photo of three. Killer Kurt Geiger pom pom heels, black skinny jeans, the Female Forever tee and the blazer from this blog post. I just couldn’t find a bag to go with the red trousers and the pink trews were slightly too big so I just didn’t feel comfortable in them. Yep, I played it safe and went with black skinnies but they’re just so comfortable and I still felt pretty killer thanks to my cool tee and statement shoes.
What’s your go-to going out style? Are you a statement accessories gal or do you love a bodycon dress?
