My first spending diary was really popular so I thought I’d do another for this week just gone! Kicking it off is my food shopping as I explained in my last post, I keep separate budgets for my weekly spends and my food shopping. My half of the food shop was £15.45 this week which was our cheapest shop of the month. We weren’t at home for dinner twice in this week so we didn’t need as much food, obviously! Again, this weekly spends runs Saturday- Friday.
Recipe: Thai Chicken Vermicelli Noodles
Today I’m bringing you this incredible Thai chicken vermicelli noodles recipe using Thai Taste products. Collaborating with foodie brands is obviously one of my most favourite things to do. You’ll know this if you follow me on Instagram or have been reading my foodie blog posts for a while.
Why You Need Pulled Buffalo Chicken Pizza In Your Life
If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a pizza fanatic so when my buddies over at Chicago Town asked to collaborate on a post again, you betcha I’m there. I’m becoming a bit of a Chicago Town The Takeaway pizza ambassador by default but I’m totally ok with that because their pizzas are some of the best!
5 Pasta Dishes You Need In Your Life
Nope, it’s not Pasta Day/Week/Month, I just really like pasta and spend 90% of my time on Pinterest pinning food that I want to create in mu own kitchen. I’m such a foodie and I love to cook so I thought I’d share some of my favourite pins of the moment that I’m hoping to whip up in the next few weeks for dinner.
Where To Eat In Prague: La Bottega Linka
La Bottega Linka is one of the best places in Prague for breakfast or brunch (and even lunch actually, we went there twice on our trip!). It’s a seriously cool industrial-feeling cafe with incredible food.
We discovered this place on Instagram, naturally, and headed there for our first meal when we’d landed in Prague. We needed lunch! For our first meal we had a picnic style lunch of different salads and then bread and freshly cut meats and cheese. They have a deli in the cafe with all of these ready to go and everything looked amazing. We had such a delicious lunch and we spied this ‘Sweet Breakfast’ on the menu so decided to book for our last morning in Prague.
Around The World Review Nottingham
I’m going to kick this off by saying whoever invented halloumi is seriously special. I mean, those Greeks know how to do cheese. And that’s exactly what we started our dinner at Around The World with. Around The World is part of the new Bierkeller complex that’s hit up Friar Lane in Notts city centre. (It’s in the old Walkabout for anyone who’s bad with street names!) Around The World is a bar with Bierkeller German Stein and Hotdog bar below and a Shooters sports bar above it. The complex has literally everything for a fun, cheap night out with surprisingly good food.
How To Eat Chocolate Every Day (& Still Fit In Your Clothes)
Treats, sweets and chocolate don’t have to be seasonal. You can definitely have them all year round (I mean every day) if you want them! Obviously, some people will just say “duh” and eat it anyway. This post probably isn’t for you. This post is for people that think that chocolate and cakes are ‘fattening’, bad for you and generally a once in a blue moon thing. Totally not the case. They’re obviously full of sugar and aren’t packed with vitamins but if they keep you sane in small quantities then they’re totally fine and I think, essential.
The Weekend Round Up: Afternoon Tea
Weekend activities vary from week to week. One week it’s kettlebells and blog shoots and other weekends it’s city breaks. We love to pack loads into our free time and this weekend we headed to Chatsworth House to take advantage of an amazing gift we were bought for Christmas – the Cavendish Afternoon Tea. I definitely thought this would be the perfect opportunity for some photos.
3 Ways To Jump Into Spring
When spring rolls around it can take a little time to re-adjust from the chilly winter months but recently I’ve been trying to embrace change a little easier and be a bit more chilled. This being said, I’ve just had the most chilled weekend ever. It was really slow paced and I enjoyed not rushing out of the house at 8am to fit in a gym session and not planning my meals too meticulously. Chilled out is all good. I’ve also been absolutely loving this amazing weather we’ve been treated to for a couple of days so I took the chance to celebrate the first moments of spring with a little life update. Here are my three tips to get yourself in the spring mood!
Born In The 80s: Cocktails at Rub
Last week I dragged my buddies from UNiDAYS and our photography club Snap Collective (go follow us on Insta!) to Rub as they’d invited me down to try their new 80s themed cocktails. Every month we have a new theme for our photography club and for April it’s food & drink! Obviously, this is my favourite subject to talk about, photograph, blog about, everything, you guys know that. I love food, I’m a fat kid inside so whenever I have the chance to review food and drinks, I jump at it.
