We live in a society where people are always telling you to grab life by the balls, carpe diem, push yourself out of your comfort zone and live a little! Basically, the pressure to say yes to things is huge because if you’re a ‘no person’ you can be seem as boring, negative and essentially not a good enough person.
5 Basic Trends I Can’t Get Enough Of
There’s nothing wrong with being a basic sometimes when trends are this cute. I totally don’t care! You be as authentic and original as you like but I’m sticking here with these cutie-matootie trends that I can’t get enough of. From Pinterest style to that holiday Instagram prop, you name it, I’m on it.
What I spend in a week #2
My first spending diary was really popular so I thought I’d do another for this week just gone! Kicking it off is my food shopping as I explained in my last post, I keep separate budgets for my weekly spends and my food shopping. My half of the food shop was £15.45 this week which was our cheapest shop of the month. We weren’t at home for dinner twice in this week so we didn’t need as much food, obviously! Again, this weekly spends runs Saturday- Friday.
How To Still Have Garden Life In The City
City living is great for a lot of reasons. I know I love it compared to small town life. Most cities are exciting places to be. You can pop out for a coffee, or a meal, whenever you fancy. You never have to miss out because the bus times were wrong, or you had no way of getting there. Plus points aside (and, honestly, there are a lot of them!) there are some not so great things. Sometimes, city living can get on top of you. We all need peace and quiet sometimes. And, something that’s a particular problem when the sun starts shining; outside space can be hard to come by. I know this at the moment, especially as sometimes when the sun comes out I miss my garden!
What I spend in a week #1
I’ve become obsessed with the Refinery 29 Money Diaries! I don’t know why, maybe I’m just nosy, maybe I just want to know whether I spend a normal amount of money? I don’t know! If you’ve not read them, it’s basically an insight into what women with different salaries, different lives and who live in different areas of the UK spend every week. I also spotted that Gillian from Elevator Musik did her own version so I decided I would too!
3 Ways To Get Your Inspiration Back
Just recently I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed and a teeny bit uninspired so I’ve decided to take a week and then my up coming city break this weekend to have a step back from the blog and get super inspired again. Time to get my mojo back!
There’s been so much happening recently in my little world that it’s been difficult to focus. Fortunately I know a couple of things that help me when I’m feeling a bit lost and I’m definitely going to make sure I do these so I can come back to my blog feeling fresh in a week or so!
How To Deal With Three Of Life’s Biggest Event
Change is never easy. Sure, it’s exciting and it provides you with new ways to live your life, but it definitely isn’t easy. Your twenties is a time of your life when everything seems to be changing – your friends are coupling up and getting increasingly less enthusiastic about doing shots of sambuca at 2am on a Wednesday night – and if you’re honest, the idea of vegging out to Netflix on your sofa wrapped in a duvet sounds quite appealing to you as well. Here are three of the biggest life changes that might happen to you in your twenties and how best to handle them…
3 Ways To Jump Into Spring
When spring rolls around it can take a little time to re-adjust from the chilly winter months but recently I’ve been trying to embrace change a little easier and be a bit more chilled. This being said, I’ve just had the most chilled weekend ever. It was really slow paced and I enjoyed not rushing out of the house at 8am to fit in a gym session and not planning my meals too meticulously. Chilled out is all good. I’ve also been absolutely loving this amazing weather we’ve been treated to for a couple of days so I took the chance to celebrate the first moments of spring with a little life update. Here are my three tips to get yourself in the spring mood!
Fresh Beauty & Haircare For Spring
It seems to be cold and grey and gross in the UK for so long that when the spring time rolls around and we actually get some sunshine we all freak out and think it’s summer (put those shorts away guys, it’s not warm!). But, it’s still kinda chilly but there are definitely some changes happening with the weather. My skin and hair always go a bit weird when the weather changes, does yours?
The Weekend Round Up: Unexpected Brunch
Can you believe it’s April already? I can’t even believe it’s Sunday already. Where does the time go? Weekends seem to fly by in a flash, especially when they’re jam packed and busy. I love a busy Saturday and a chilled out Sunday. This seems to be our go-to formula for a perfect weekend.
