Let’s just get into it, it’s the end of the year (but, actually how?!), and we’ve probably all got thoughts about the previous year and wishes for the year to come. I’ve definitely not thought about 2018 yet if I’m totally honest, apart from my resolution to actually use my 1 million recipe books that I have sitting on my Billy bookcase. Instead, I’ve been thinking about 2017 and what’s been going on this year. Here are 5 thoughts from yet another year that’s flown by.
Since having my Apple watch I’ve obviously found myself wearing my actual watches less and less but I do tend to wear them on the weekends and if I’m going out. I’ve actually come to really like this because I appreciate them and enjoy wearing my ‘jewellery’ watches more because it’s more special. I absolutely love minimal watches and they’re still such a trend! They’re just simple and pretty and go with almost any outfit. Here are 6 of my favourite picks that are perfect for pressies from F.Hinds.
When we usually think ‘holiday’ a lot of us would automatically think of sandy beaches and fruity cocktails, right? Definitely. But, what if you’re a bit Greece-d out, like me? I love Europe but this year I felt a little bit unfulfilled, like I’d not really seen anything that new. It was gorgeous and relaxing and fab but I still felt a bit like I needed something new.
Denim, dressing comfortably and dungarees are 100% part of my daily routine. If it ain’t comfy I’m not wearing it and when dungarees came back in a few years ago I was straight on that trend. Plus, they keep your tummy extra warm in the winter cos extra layer. Yep, I am 25 going on 85, whatcha gonna do?
These personal posts are one of my favourite things to read so I decided to do a bit of my own. Let me know what you think and if there’s anything else you want to know!? I loved reading Robyn’s 6 Kinda Weird Confessions of An Introvert (which funnily enough has pics from the same day as this photo shoot if you’re thinking the backdrop looks *kinda* similar!) because it’s just super interesting to find out more about bloggers behind the blog, don’tcha think? I’m not saying I’m the weirdest or quirkiest person out there by any stretch of the imagination but I just think it’s nice when people find something that they’re like “Yes! I do that too!”.
Louis Vuitton was founded in 1854 in Paris and over the years, it has become a name associated with fashion and glamorous designs; the brand is now worth over 24 billion dollars (wow). From the beginning, the brand was very exclusive and it started by making luxury luggage for royalty of France. In 1977, there were only two Louis Vuitton shops and now they have over 400 shops all around the world! The price is always a concern when talking about luxury items but this is one of the things that make them so exclusive, of course. Big brands always try to control the type of people buying their products, we know this. Louis Vuitton bags will certainly offer a very unique and glamorous touch to anyone’s wardrobe and with so many different styles, shapes and sizes available, there is a pretty good chance that you’d find the perfect handbag and it will be love at first sight.
Green is literally everywhere at the moment! It seems to have crept up on us all like the red trend did and I’m loving it. I picked up this super cute floral blouse from Missguided that I showed off on Instagram the other week and I’m really embracing adding some more colour to my wardrobe. I’ve chosen 6 awesome pieces from ASOS that can fit in easily with your style. Just add a touch with accessories or go all out with a dress, just pick your shade!
This ASOS oversized oatmeal jumper has taken over my life, I’m not gonna lie to you. It’s the warmest, softest, cosiest thing ever and it’s just making getting ready so easy. It goes with every colour of denim, every jacket I own and pretty much all of my shoes so we’re getting on like a house on fire.
What’s the difference between your weekday and weekend style? Do you have to wear a uniform or a suit or are you super casual all the time?
Workwear style for me is fairly similar to my day to day style but I do try to wear trousers, boots, shirts and other ‘smarter’ items during the week. Weekends can often mean sweatshirts, leggings and general gym kit and my favourite Vans t-shirts. But, sometimes when I’ve got a little something something going on (usually brunch or lunch let’s not lie) it can be nice to make some more effort on the weekend with style.
Denim is one of those things that I think people have comfort blankets with, it definitely is for me. I’m 80% a skinny jeans girl these days and have been for a long time now. Pre-skinny jeans days it was all about the boot cut for the school disco, right? And before the boot cut days it was all about the skater fit jeans – remember those Tammy Girl dreamboats? Amazing. The more ripped, the baggier, the grubbier, the better. Those were the days. My jeans evolution has grown with me as I’m sure it has for most people my age and denim will always be my number one go-to for the start of an outfit.
